Where does this fuzzy logic come from??? By this math I need to wait 8+ months for 7 months of 5 day weeks of USCIS work days to be out of regular processing time.

Thats totally wrong you can already put an inquire, in their page they say the Are working already in january 26th so you are out of normal process. Call again and dont ask just tell them you would like to do an inquire.

Yes, I did open the inquiry with Tier 1agent and then asked for Tier 2 for more information on my case. The response I got from Tier 2 about workdays  was laughable. I was told I should get a written response to my inquiry within 15-30 days.

Finally. 2 hours after a Tier 2 agent told me "No, I don't see that we requested more evidence" this came to my app. I just cannot believe that anyone truly knows what is going on there if they are all giving different info. I don't know. At least it is progress. I will keep you all posted.

Hello to one and all, 

 

After an arduous and perpetual Christmas Eve, I have received online notice of our approval. Didn’t realize how stressed I had been until I felt the weight lift away. Our NOA1 receipt date was 29 Jan.

 

So, what does the NOA2 actually detail? Does it have the date of the embassy interview or do you then have to wait for a separate letter? And if so, what’s the approx wait time for it?

 

Either which way, we now know there is a finite amount of time until we are together again.

So I vowed to call USCIS everyday since Aug 13th when I was informed I would be getting an RFE and finally today after talking to a tier 2 the infamous RFE has finally been mailed I received a txt and email shortly after stating the same thing. I must also let u all know in the txt they ent me there was a link to check case status on the website. However i went to myacountuscis.gov or whatever that sight is and the website still said my case was received....so then I went back to the txt they sent me and clicked on the link inside the txt and that one said they had sent out and RFE but the site with the 2 step verification still say received. I'm hoping to get the RFE by Saturday so I can get it mailed back to them.

Update on our case:

 

We filed an online inquiry on August 15th. On August 24th our inquiry was assigned to an officer for response. Today, August 28th, are case was completed and our inquiry was responded. But for some reason they decided mail the response and not e-mail the response. So my fiancee called to see if we could find out what was in the response and a tier 1 was nice enough to inform her that the response to the inquiry was that they are doing a security check and that's why it's taking long. But didn't inform us when we should receive some form of action on our case. So yeah, you guys know as much as I do now.

 

Idk if I should be content with that response or sad. Because if they're still doing security checks on us, that means that they have yet to actually adjudicate our petition right? Or are security checks the last thing to be done? I would hope they (security checks) were but I know that they're probably the first thing to get done so an adjudicator can then look at our case.

 

So yeah, that's it.

@Snuffles you two are so freaking adorable!!  In one time zone you have breakfast, and in the other you have supper the evening before!  I love it.  There are couples who are already together who don’t even appreciate being able to enjoy a meal sitting at the same table.
