We actually just inquired via phone :( We got the reference number so I don't know if it would make any difference? My confusion about this process is growing every day... 😂

Oh no worries, we didn't get it the first time we called and inquired either (and were told it was gonna be done in 15 days). The second time we called and ask about the ref. number, they told us and also that it was gonna be 45 days. The third call was 30... Oh deer 😂 I don't think there's any use for that number anyway (with this system 😂)

Oh, right. I won’t stress about it, then. We’ll just see what the next two weeks brings.

He’s gonna talk to his boss today about taking time off to visit so that will be good to start planning 👍🏻

You can ask them to give you your SR number. I know they do. Hopefully. If they can’t provide, then you can do the online inquiry.

Okay, will keep that in mind.

I was impressed, call back time was only 32 minutes and he got a call back in less than that :)

That’s great. Keep on calling them everyday to pinch their butts to work on your case.😂😂😂

The best bet number of days now is back to 250ish days. Most likely extended a month from 5-7months to 5-8months processing time to some of us. Really a bunch of patience needed...

Please keep being strong. You will get approve soon. Have a great weekend!

Okay, fiancé just got off the phone from Tier 2. I was on iPad so could hear the conversation.

Fiancé explained we were outside normal processing times and seeing if there was an update.

Tier 2 said a decision has not been made. Service request was made and he will receive a notice in the mail in the next 15 days.

Fiancé asked what if it takes longer than 15 days.

Tier 2 said, “just wait.”

I’m just confused because normally people have been told 45 days and normally get emailed their request responses? So I’m confused and feel a little sick?

At this point I am not sure I have any encouraging words! lol however just hang in there that is all we can do at this point :) Cheers to the weekend

Hello all,

I am a lurker / somewhat active member and am on day 211 without an approval.

My NOA1 is 1/25 according to the new website, and according to the USCIS, am now outside of normal processing times.

So, I have been reading this thread, and already submitted an online inquiry today, and am also grateful to @Greenbaum for his help to contact the Ombudsman and / or senators, representatives which I will likely reach out to soon. :-)

Could someone (while going easy on me) please direct me as to what is the best way to call up and ask for information? I know the number is 1-800-375-5283 and here is the website, but have been put off from calling because of the stories of wait times, conflicting answers = massive waste of time.

My precious angel is becoming concerned, so if you could help both of us to move forward, we'd be grateful!

Thanks, wish you all amazingly quick approvals, and a wonderful weekend!

Duane & Haney

Call the USCIS # and tell them you don't have your receipt number. Then they will connect you to a Tier 1 agent. Tell the Tier 1 agent that you want to speak to Tier 2. They will transfer you and if the hold time is crazy long, they will call you back so you do not have to stay on the phone. I call every few days. It is easy.

How long does USCIS give us to respond to the RFE, is it still 90 days or did they cut that down? Anyone know ?

OK, Adam, very helpful. Appreciate it! :-)

three questions:

1. Is there any specific information I should have ready for the Tier 2, besides my NOA1, etc.?

2. I'm reading here as well that submitting the inquiry online may have been a mistake?

3. I'm just trying to move things forward and keep my future bride calm, is the e-mail to the Ombudsman and senators / representatives something I should do now / doesn't matter / hold off for a few weeks?

Thanks to all for your incredible help, this website has been a light spot (blazing) in what can otherwise be a long and dark process!
