Yeah that was my concern. Why reissuance if we even haven’t received anything yet? 😢 As of this moment, i doubt if they are telling the truth or they are just merely lying to us.

I forgot you are still within processing time.

Yes they told us they already sent it out last Aug. 8 and that we should be receiving it last week. But we didn’t receive any. Hoping we will be receiving it soon. No room for “surrender” in this journey for love. :D

My fiance called and the lady submitted it for us, gave him a receipt number - no confirmation in e-mail though. She said we should receive an answer in the next 15-30 days. I’m afraid the answer will be we still need time ....

Hey dear @iwir,

we inquired more than two weeks ago and got no response so far. Josh called yesterday and they gave him (again) a third different answer than before about when we're supposed to hear something from them. The first call was - "you will hear from us on August 22nd or earlier", the second call was - "you will hear from us within 45 days, 22nd the earliest", the third call - "you will hear from us within 30 days from filing the inquiry, until September 7th". They could AT LEAST get their employees tell some united lie instead of multiple ones...😔

Has anyone tried contacting their Senator or Congressman for assistance once you are outside of normal processing? They are supposed to have a liaison that works within USCIS and from my understanding can help push things along.

Thank you, we have contacted our CA Senator, Ms. Harris, last week (a week after our inquiry with USCIS) and someone in her office told us we would hear back from them within few weeks. And it is okay, we will be waiting anyway. I am kind of in a "shut-down mode", just sitting and waiting, without even seeing tomorrow (or a day/week/month later) as a day it "might happen". Just stuck.

Thank you for this info and as I still sit in RFE LIMBO I remain hopeful....Everytime I call I speak to a tier 2 because tier 1 folks always tell me there is no action on my case. I had my congressman call yesterday and they told him too I am getting an RFE and the RFE should go out in the next couple days. I have called myself everyday this week which I vowed to myself I would do and they keep saying the RFE has been requested but not generated....So we shall see if I receive it this week or weekend. Congrats to you and good luck the rest of the way

Good luck to you as well and everyone still waiting which I know seems like an eternity. Just for everyone's info, I have yet to see an update on the new website indicating an approval. Want me to throw a monkey wrench into everyone's "they no longer use the old site?" Logged into the old site just for old times sake....Here's the case history update on that site:

"On August 20, 2018, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number ################, was assigned to an officer for response."

Yet, nothing on the new site.....

Just wanted to share as although everyone says they don't update the old site anymore, they sure do.......so my advice is check the old site too.

FINALLY got approved after 226 days.

I can’t wait to start being able to set up exams/interview/etc... I want to get this process moving 😊

does anyone know know how long we should wait after NOA2 before calling to get our NVC number?

Someone posted the link below on the August 2018 NOA2 - NVC thread and I filled it out this morning and sent it off. Check out that thread as it's very helpful and gives you an idea how long the average applicant waits. Hoping I can stay in the "average time frame" for the next steps as opposed to those waiting longer...(I'm not sure how to link to that thread...sorry)

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

And CONGRATULATIONS - after 226 days USCIS should include a huge gift basket with the NOA2!
