My fiancé called USCIS a few times today as he wanted to speak with a Supervisor but each time he was told due to the high volume of calls Tier 2 was not taking any calls and to call back later. Just a few minutes ago he tried again, with the same response, BUT Tier 1 advised we were APPROVED just this afternoon!!!!! I actually had him call back again and ask another Tier 1 if we were approved because I needed confirmation after so long of a wait. There was a light at the end of the tunnel after all.....just didn't know how long that tunnel was going to be and for me that was the hardest part of this part of the journey.

congrats!

That means they haven’t placed their final adjudication yet. They might still consider your rfe to an approval. This is according to what they told us the last time. Keep holding on. Our time is coming so very soon.😊

I really hope so! But after 15 days, make up their mind already! 😂

I received this today. This is the first time I received any email from uscis and I’m wondering what happened to all the people who received this last month?

I got that every so often for months prior to my approval. I don't think it means anything at all.

You’ll be needing this info. When you do the online inquiry for your case being outside of processing time.

@LuFloladyThank you so much. I was a little concerned this morning as I read some posts about visa journey not advising to put in an inquiry as it could get pulled back from NVC. Of course,  I'm the worrywart and to ease my fears, my fiancé called for a Tier 2 this morning to see if we should cancel the inquiry or if it indeed may hold back the process at some point in time. What's interesting is that when the Tier 1 answered she knew NOTHING of our approval. But the Tier 2 callback definitely indicated an approval and that we were actually approved on Monday - August 20th. Tier 2 also reassured my fiancé the inquiry would not cause our file to be sent back from NVC.

What I have learned is definitely talk to a Tier 2, and in fact given the confusion over your RFE, I would ask to speak with a Tier 2 Supervisor. This stage of this process will be over for you soon too. Sometimes I felt like there would be no end - but there is, and I hope that day is coming for you very soon!

Now off to update my timeline.....

Thank you for this info and as I still sit in RFE LIMBO I remain hopeful....Everytime I call I speak to a tier 2 because tier 1 folks always tell me there is no action on my case. I had my congressman call yesterday and they told him too I am getting an RFE and the RFE should go out in the next couple days. I have called myself everyday this week which I vowed to myself I would do and they keep saying the RFE has been requested but not generated....So we shall see if I receive it this week or weekend. Congrats to you and good luck the rest of the way

I had signed up and never received that message until Monday. In addition the email said the last time action had been taken on my case was August 6th. Then this morning I received an email I was getting an rfe. At this point I’m glad it was looked at even though I believed I had a super complete file. I called USCIS today and the tier one said we have received your file I had to tell them umm actually your sending me an rfe. She said let me check yes your right. Let’s hope it comes fast. So hopefully in your case it means it will be approved soon but everything is so crazy like they said it might mean nothing. But I hope your approved soon :)

Hi I'm a long time lurker.

Old site NOA1 jan 24

Recieved email and text this morning.  Called got confusing information.

Tier 1 said RFE mailed on Aug 8

Tier 2 said RFE on supervisors desk waiting approval.

Any ideas for me to be concerned?

No, there’s nothing to be concerned about except for the fact that our case is one of those “waiting for an approval”. Me either is still waiting for our RFE letter since Aug. 13. When was the last time you talked to tier 2?

I m still waiting in RFE limbo too....I call everyday and I have been getting the same answer that I should expect and RFE or not it hasn't been generated yet so therefore it has not gone out.....

This is true. The last time we called them they said they will request for reissuance.😳😳😳 We even haven’t received anything yet.

Did you make online inquiry about your case?

Yeah that was my concern. Why reissuance if we even haven’t received anything yet? 😢 As of this moment, i doubt if they are telling the truth or they are just merely lying to us.

I forgot you are still within processing time.
