Does anyone know the average turnaround time for some kind of answer after getting the response that your case is being adjudicated and will get an answer within 60 days. Obviously don't need a common sense answer of within 60 days just seeing if it usually takes the full 60.

No specific timeframe. But you will get a response with in 60days. Just only be prepared how unpredictable USCIS is.

Start counting now the days..........

I dont think there is an average turn around time.  From following VJ over the last 9-10 months and reading what people have posted from their own experiences and their experiences from speaking to customer service at USCIS, I am not sure if anyone knows the answer to this.    I  think that is a standard response that they gave you from your inquiry and you could hear as early as MOnday or whenever they adjudicate it.

I have the exact same dates as you, and I'm still waiting, haven't heard anything yet.  I got the automated email they send saying that there's nothing new, and that action had last been taken on the case Aug. 1st.  I haven't called USCIS yet...I'm afraid they'll only give me misinformation, I'm waiting till we're outside of processing.  Anyway, you're not alone, I'll keep you posted if I hear anything new.

Thank u! And I agree calling is not for the faint lol I called one time and was truly disappointed vowed to never call again.... However now I'm going to call everyday since I get different answers everytime I call....

@LuFlolady I completely understand the disappointment and frustration when you receive different messages every time you call. Case in point; I called on 08/17/18 to speak to Tier 2 and the Tier 1 was trying to tell me that they couldn't transfer me because in system it shows case still pending....I laughed and said; "well as we can see that isn't the case, I am holding my hard copy of my RFE in my hand as we speak." The response I received back was; "I don't have proof of what your saying is true." Are you flipping kidding me right now??????  Needless to say my southern charm went straight out the window....I did end up speaking to Tier 2....

Moral of this story for me and for you my friend is do not let these people discourage you and disappoint you. We have to have some type of "control" over this situation, and we must be willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve the end results right???? So you keep calling until you reach that person who will help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Continued thoughts and prayers my friend, keep me posted!!!!!!!!!

@GP1977 THANK YOU sooo very much my friend. Thank God it was an easy fix. They needed proof we had met in the last 2 years. Feel like an idiot I sent "required" documents...now the officer is going to receive a nice red 3 ring binder with notarized statements, more passport entries/exits, a letter from me, our flight itineraries and loads of pictures. and it only weighs 2 pounds:) hehehe

How is everything going on your end?????

Sounds like your approval will be on its way very shortly.  Everything is well on my end - just waiting for the next steps.

What number do you guys use when you call and ask about your case??

First, don't begin calling for 10 business days after you get your text message (NOA2). Second, you will need the Petitioner's and Beneficiaries full name and date of birth.

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.
