On the 10th they said you were still within processing times and today they said that an RFE was sent out on the 7th?

Did your fiance speak to a tier 2 or tier 1 officer?

Yes and Tier 2 officer. We scheduled a call back because of the 227 min wait.  My fiance also asked what is it about and tier 2 lady did not give any info. So we'll just wait for the mail.

my case still say received on the website it has not been updated but they said the RFE was sent out yesterday...have you gotten your hard copy @VickeySis I was trying to see how long it is taking hard copies to arrive in the mail I called today to try and get a tier2 to read the RFE to me and they are in a stop transfer pattern due to the high volume of calls they told me to call back in 2 hrs...these folks are a joke

@LuFlolady I have not received my RFE yet....I talked to a tier 2 today Officer Friday and he told me they will not fax it until it has been AFTER 15 days of RFE notice and it’s “against regulations” to read it over the phone to me due to I could be “anyone” and I said; “then what’s the point of talking about the case period because I have verified the information and this makes no sense”...then there was silence....On the auto mated system and when I speak to random Tier 1 they still show my case pending...hoping to get it in the mail tomorrow at the latest Thursday. As soon as I get it I will message you with mine!!!! Prayers and love my friend♥️♥️♥️

Haha. Yes I won’t get down about it. I’ll ask him to call again.

In the meantime, I did send off for my police check. So at least I feel like I’m doing something while waiting.

So my fiance called USCIS today and apparently they sent RFE last Aug 7. We tried calling aug 10 and they said we are still within processing time. They haven't changed the status in the new website.

Do you guys know how many days I'll expect to receive the letter?

Anywhere from 8-10 business days maybe more and maybe less. No one can say with a certainty. Your mileage may vary.

Calling is another story
U are welcome to call at ANY time in the process. Just know that calling too early (which in my PERSONAL opinion is before day 200) might be a waste of time because someone is going to tell you "your case is being adjudicated/you are within normal processing times"

How long you wait depends on how busy the phone lines are. They are always busy FYI
If you want to get a Tier II person (someone that MIGHT know more than the operator that answers the phone), you MOST likely will have to wait for a call back from them. I've heard those can range from an hour to like an entire day.

The best time to call is when they first open but call one min after their opening and you can get through on as little as two rings. Also, later at night is good too.
