My case is officially out of processing timeline. Jan 10th on old and 12th on new site. No update no RFE nothing. It’s so frustrating and I’m trying not to let it get to me. I’ll be submitting a case enquiry online and also call uscis today. Anyone in the same situation?

We already submitted an online inquiry last friday. The day USCIS is touching now is January 15th.

For the affidavit of support that I'll have to take with me to the interview, does my partner need to send me the original or scanning it and sending it to me would be okay?

If i were you i would prefer original than the scanned one.

Yes, I was informed before that is needs to be the original as the petitioner has to sign the i-134f form too.

We could be mincing words. If you send a document, and this is according to the information I just gave, USCIS deems the signature that is scanned to be as true as if it were a "wet signature".  This is one of those questions that people will say it's black and others will say it's gray. No one can agree and that is why I submit "official" documentation that outlines what is accepted. The choice is still yours but at least you have the information from the horses mouth.

Further, the I-134 is not a binding contract so there is no real need for a wet signature. Now when you do the I-864 for your AOS after marriage then yes, it requires a wet signature, but the two of you are going to be together when you execute that document so it is really a mute point.

Just a question - I am the beneficiary, and I haven't received any letter yet (we got approved 8th Aug). Will the letter state which NVC to process the visa? Cos we requested to change the address to Phil (2 months back) but we didn't receive any confirmation if they got our request. Thanks a lot! Have a good day.

There is only one NVC and you can call USCIS and make sure they have the correct address on file. if they have the correct address you want to make sure that your mailbox has your name inside just because some mailman don't leave important stuff without making sure it really belong to you( that happened to me with the NOA1). Also, it takes about a week and a half to get the NOA2 in the mail so you might be receiving it soon!

You will be receiving the hard copy of your noa2 any day from now. No sis, the letter(noa2 hardcopy) wont state which embassy. You will know upon calling nvc about your case number. Or you can also email them at  ASKNVC@state.gov  they are very responsive. If you wish for a transfer, i suggest do everything you can while it’s still in the nvc. Call them, email them everytime til they acknowledge your embassy transfer.
