They actually let us inquire on a day 215 (over a phone by L2), not before 😒But maybe others have a different experience?

Oh, really? Day 215 puts me at my notice date. The instructions on the case processing times site says you can inquire on the receipt date, which is the received date when you look at the instructions.

Ive seen a couple of people here inquire on day 210 or day 211. I guess that depends on the agent maybe? Idk lol. There's a lot of misinformation within their whole process.

Did you file with a tier 2 bc you thought it was safer or did the tier 1 agent transfer you in order for you to file the inquiry?

Thanks for your reply btw!

I inquired on day 211 with a tier 1...she actually put in a service request for me without me asking her to and I then asked to be transferred to a tier 2 to inquire further and that's when the officer said he noticed something on my account TWO weeks prior and nothing had been done about it or mailed out. The NEXT day is when the website was updated and it was an RFE so in my assumption, if i would have kept waiting no one would have noticed that sitting duck of an RFE. I've always been hesitant to call because I don't want to bother but you should. I will be calling tomorrow to make sure my RFE was sent out. Best of luck!

Oh man, I am totally confused by this process and sometimes they sound confused too. You are definitely not gonna hurt anybody by calling earlier 😉 And we actually immediately asked to be transferred to L2. Good luck, keep us updated! 🙂

Wow, really? Id like to think that it was a coincidence that you called and then received the RFE  update the next day. And I say that because it's so messed up if they just let your RFE sit there for two weeks. For an outsider looking in, two weeks is no time, but for us that's waiting, two weeks is an eternity!! Specially since the RFE delays the process even more 😐.

We're gonna call  this week and I'll ask my fiancee if she can do what you did in the hopes of getting some information from them. And tomorrow is the day we received an auto update from them saying they're still processing our case lol

Thank you! And good luck yourself!

Tell me about it. I had the same impression when I called. Like one agent can give me information on my case, the other can't, one uses the received date, another uses the notice date lol

Thank you very much. I'll keep you guys posted!

Yeah I know what you mean. We all get disappointed when people that filed after us get approved. I myself am a Jan 16th (old site) filer, so many people got approved that filed after me. But that's life I guess, right? There are always those who are luckier than others.

No problem and thank you. Wish you the same.

Mine it’s on September 5 2017😔good luck

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Wait, your NOA1 is from September?

Have you filed inquiries, contacted your congress person, or the ombudsman to get a status on your case?

Yea it is from September 5th. I did 2 service requests, one in April and the other one as recent as July  both came back that they were still waiting for security clearance. I must’ve called at least 5 different times and in July I requested to talk to tier 2. He said to continue waiting I was suppose to get an answer on the case which I’m still waiting for. I did contact my senator but no luck as of yet. I recently received this email stating that my case was still being reviewed and they last took action on the case on July 21st but still no updates. What's the chances of getting a response if i contact the Obudsman?

Wow, that's extremely frustrating. It's like they keep buying more and more time with these inquiries and stuff.

Have you received at least a RFE or was the last thing you heard from them that they received your case?

I keep receiving those emails too, I'm not too sure they mean anything. Sometimes I think they just send those out to try to calm us down a little.

Did the senators office give you some feedback on what USCIS told him or did they give his office the same security clearance info?

And about the ombudsman, I have no idea. Im fairly new to this process and haven't reached out to any third party yet. But maybe someone on this thread can help you out or you can create your own thread explaining your situation and I'm sure someone experienced will be able to help you out.
