Don't worry, you'll get it soon! I did that too, 08/07 I talked to Tier 2 and she said my case is still pending, that to call back in 2 weeks cos our case is still within processing time. it broke my heart when she said that. the next day I said to myself I will not call USCIS, but I still did call them. Then I found out from Tier 1 that we got approved! I had to call them back again after 3 hours just to make sure  (crazy huh?), the guy said it's still processing/pending should wait til 7th month so do the case inquiry and I was like wait I called earlier and the lady said it was approved. Then he checked it again asking me some security questions and he was like oh yes your case has been approved.

Yes, background checks are done on both petitioner and beneficiary.

That's actually good and logical. When I first saw someone saying that checks are only done on the petitioner while at USCIS I was skeptical. There was that whole San Bernardino thing amongst other so US is probably gonna dig deep into people's lives to verify if they're a potential risk right.

Idk why mine is taking so long though lol hope it get mine soon bc I'm starting to loose my sanity. Maybe this upcoming week I'll get some update, be it even an RFE at this point.

But congratulations on your approval @Deehotstepper!!! I'll probably be just at as ecstatic as you were haha.

And don't be so sad @LuFlolady, you're well within the processing times. At like 210 days you can start getting crazy like the rest of us lol. I hope you hear from them soon!

We just missed a tick box on the i-129F form. It makes it look like it’s a follow on from a question that was irrelevant to us so unfortunately missed that question.

I’m assuming since it was something as simple as that it didn’t take long for them to go through and approve it when they received it back.

Hope you get yours soon!

If you don't mind me asking. was it question number 5 on part 1?

This is so similar to my experience. I was okay after i got off the call with Tier 2 and told to wait 45 days and that was for my expedite request, I couldnt do it. I called back in early this week on Monday because i didn't get the letter Tier 2 said i would receive. the Tier 2 agent was honest enough to tell me that she didnt work in the California office so there is limited information she can provide. the two tier 1 agents i spoke with on Monday and yesterday (Wednesday) were more than capable. i think we were led to believe we need to speak to tier 2 but if that tier 2 agent doesn't work in the California office, they probably cant do much. A willing Tier 1 agent who wants to help you and feels for because they understand the struggle we go through in this process, is all you need.

@LuFlolady Please dont regret calling, as you can see, some of us had to call again and again. Please dont lose hope, hope is all we have in this process to hold on to. if you dont want to call tomorrow, try again on Monday if you havent heard anything good news by then. we are all here for you and with you.
