I called this morning at 9 but I wasn’t satisfied with a reference number so I called back and said I forgot to ask a tier 2 something if they could please transfer me and they did. Officer said he saw online that on july 25 there was something but that nothing was mailed out. To wait two weeks. So he didn’t say it was an RFE but I figure that’s what it is. Should I call back tomorrow morning? He said he was going to do some investigating as to why nothing was sent out. I know some of you have asked for a faxed copy of the RFEs.

I called this morning and talked to a Tier 2 officer for the first time ever. I am on day 204. He said that my fiance passed security checks 2 weeks ago and that everything else looked good. Just to continue waiting. It made me feel better.

yea I would call back later and see if you can speak with someone else sometimes different people give different answers some are more helpful than others

I wonder what else you would be waiting for?  This whole process is really stressing me and my fiancee' out.  We are at day 190 here and are ready to get NOA2 so we can proceed to the next step so I can see her again before the interview.

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe once the background check is done, then maybe the file goes off to someone else to "finalize" the process???

Since you said you called I can safely assume that you're the petitioner and that your fiance (Beneficiary) is the one who passed security checks 2 weeks ago?

 

I'm just asking bc then we know for sure that background checks are done on both petitioner and beneficiary? Because it had been said here on VJ that background checks are done only in the petitioner and it has also been said that it's also done on the beneficiary lol.

Our paper NOA2 form came today with a notice date of August 3, 2018.  The update on our case on USCIS's new site was on August 6.  Still no updates for our case on the old USCIS site.

Congrats on being approved.  It appears the old site no longer updates. Only the new site has been updating.

That sucks I am in the same boat.  I'm going to call soon and hopefully there will be an update.

yes i called @Deehotstepper in fact just got off the phone with them and she said my case was still pending and it was tier 2 that i spoke with...they called me back after 30min.... I am totally deflated now i should have never called must admit that a few tears fell from my eyes
