Alright, you guys... So I called USCIS, which I always do. Right when I hit 180 days, I've been calling them every morning to get a status of our case.... Today, I thought of not calling them. I was like whatever they will tell me the same exact thing, still within the processing time this and that blablabla... .. But I still called them! LOL silly me. So I talked to the lady and asked her about the status and she was like "Can I put you on hold real quick, it seems like there was an update on your case." In my head I was like oh maybe it's just the change of address, we recently moved to a new place 2 months ago. After waiting for like 30 secs, she was like ok, so it looks like your case has been approved, congratulations! GAAAAAAAAAh!!! WE"VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! I even asked her twice if it's really approved, just to confirm y'know. haha But yeah, WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY!! I WANTED TO CRY!! but of course, I can't, I'm currently at work right now. LOL I can't wait for my Fiance to wake up!! I need to wait 6 more hours to wake him up..  I hope you guys will get approved soon!! Praying for you guys!!

Thank you!! You'll get your approval soon! I actually spoke to Tier 2 yesterday, she just told me that out case was still pending. Probably you guys have approved already, you guys should call. They haven't updated our case on the website.

Thank you  I thought we were only supposed to call after the 210 days passed since the received date so didn’t want to annoy them  but it is might worth a try

in my opinion, paying over 500$ and im sure there are people there employed to answer the phones, call.

 

this is your life and if this gets more information, well, they've created that dynamic. on the other hand, be reasonable by not calling daily. if you are over 200 days though, ABSOLUTELY CALL.

My dates are 1/23 (old) and 1/26 (new). The new website shows that it was received January 26. I read where someone posted just a bit ago that they called to check, and uscis told them they were approved. So I decided to try calling even though I’m only at day 197. I was very hesitant to call, I hate talking on the phone to anyone. I was going to call at 8am California time and I procrastinated until about 1130am. My girlfriend had already given me a hard time for not calling so I went ahead and did it. After going through all the security questions like my name, address, birthday, ssn, they said my case was approved. They said that they were mailing a letter to me today. So this shows that they aren’t always updating the new website either. I suggest calling if you want to know your status.

For those of you who have already gone ahead with this or know a thing or two about the matter. If we decide to contact a representative, should we reach out our congresswoman or to our senator? Which one would be more helpful and/or less busy.

It doesn't make a difference. Select the one who you think will get this done. You can call their office and try and speak to the aid that handles this for your Representative and the confidence you gain from that conversation will give you a good idea who you should use.

Jan 5 on old wedsite and Jan 9 on new website. Just called USCIS and the rep was super nice. He put me on 2 brief holds to verify with Tier 2 and told me it was still being processed. He requested my info and created a case inquiry for me and provided the references number. He said the case should be expedited within 30 days. If more than 30 days I should call back. Hope it gets approved soon.

Checking on your embassy case number:

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the MNL # from USEM.  Call 7:00am eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

 

 

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

 

1 for English, then 7 (or 5, but I would go 7 as they would tell you if you should call 5 instead after they receive your case.)

 

Calling once per day is adequate.
