We did the standard reply wait 45 days even to the Senator's office. Not of any help though :(

Try as much as you can to not lose hope, it probably hasn't been 45 days yet so they have to get back to you by then no matter what! 🤞

Do you know if we need to sign and date every page that we send in with the RFE, just the actual pages of the RFE or just sign at the designated space?

My advice is to follow the RFE very carefully. Just sign in the designated space. Make sure your documents are correct in every way. You should be fine once you are sure everything is in order.

Thank you, @Lucy&Jason💗 The beginning of the month seems to be really THE WORST time when to file 😥 Not for February though... Well, we just have to stay strong for a little longer, it must be coming ANYTIME SOON! 😍

Couldn’t agree more. Yes, we will get our Noa2 soon. It maybe delayed but we will get it. :D

Oh my! Yes I just checked. Well then it's about time to receive our NOA2. Hang in there, guys!!!

Btw, I just got a work offer from an American company which I can do remotely, but the recruiter is from UK. I know once I move there, I can't work til I get my EAD/AP. So should I work with them until my moving day and then tell them I can't work once I'm in the US so my job will be left undone? I can't pass this opportunity

There are several sources that must looked at in whole.

https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/working-us

1) You must have a Green Card, EAD, or a work related visa to work in the US

2) "Nonimmigrants enter the United States for a temporary period of time, and once in the United States, are restricted to the activity or reason for which their nonimmigrant visa was issued."

This means unless you have a visa that allows you to work, you are not allowed to. K-1 visa is not a work visa.

You do not become an immigrant until your adjustment of status, and therefore the quickest you are allowed to work on a K-1 visa is once the EAD has been issued.

Then, as far as working in the US for a foreign company goes.... here is a blog post about that has some sources in it

I know CR1 team will say CR1 is more powerful than K1. @Greenbaum, I'm fully aware that I can't work until EAD is in hand which may take 4-6 months. Our plan is we'll file AOS ASAP but we didn't know I would get an offer too soon. I guess I will just let my new employer know that my employment has to be "paused" once I move there if they still want to hire me now. Thanks!

17 hours ago, Greenbaum said:

Now you know even though you knew before that you can't work till you get your EAD. Since you know, then I guess you know. But do you know why the CR-1 "is more powerful?" Because I don't know but you say the CR-1 team says so but I have never heard of a CR1 team.  Can you explain please?

Making fun of someone who have to turn down a job offer is not cool, @Greenbaum but i apprecuate your first response

This is a blog that is an "open book" for all to read and to all to glean what they feel is necessary for them personally. The information can be directly related to your situation but it's not only for your edification but for others. There are many folks who "lurk" and do not necessarily ask questions. And for one of those lurkers, this topic could be relevant to their case also.  So when I answer your post with some information to consider it's not directed at your level of "knowledge" as you pointed out in your follow-up post that "I'm fully aware", which I viewed as condescending. To follow that up I asked a question from your information and I was not sure what was meant by your reference to the "CR-1 team" and so I thought there was something there to learn, hence I asked the question "Can you explain please".

I hope you understand where I was coming from and I wish you all the best in your quest to realize your dreams.

Dear All,

I'm starting to feel a bit frustrated, because I'm seeing the same timelines as my request and the same service center (California) and we still do not get our approval ...

My Fiance called the offices, and he said he had to wait until he was 7 months ... if we did not receive news from them, he would call again and request a inquire.

I have a lot of faith that we will receive our approval very soon.

congratulations to all those who have already been approved.

My fiance and I are going through the same thing. He is from Peru. I don't know if it is related to Central/ South American background checks? Either way, we just visited Panama in June and it is a beautiful country! Next time, we won't visit during the rainy season though, lol! :)

What do you believe you'll get an RFE for?

Letters of intent to marry, seeing as I only recently learned of these. But maybe not? It seems like a odd thing to me because I'm submitting this paperwork, waiting all this time and spending all this money.
