Congratulations to all the visa approvals.  I feel like I'm the last lonely one waiting.  Pray for us to get a speedy approval.   We have completed everything the interview Dec 3rd as well....we are now waiting the administrative processing last updated Dec 9th. :clock:

*hug*

you're not alone. I was approved on Nov 21 and was placed in AP two days later pending the processing of form DS-5535.

Its hard. I don’t even know what sort of timeline to expect for myself. I could be waiting well over a year :(

Hopefully we’ll both get a happy holiday surprise and be granted our visas quickly.

Cosponsor my income was 3x the amount required they are asking for a cosponsor.

Oh wow!!! 3x the amount required and yet still not enough for the CO? Does this something to do with your interviewing embassy?

Possibly maybe CO was having a bad day. So just need patience but this is harder wait than before at least we had a probable time frame and if not process able to call someone to ask questions.....this wait is excruciating being in an infinite black hole with no idea how to get out.  And yes everyone is informed of this process that there is a possibility for additional processing.  This is just part of the process.  I almost want to go marry my fiance and start another application but I'm going to give it time first.  If nothing by February which is 60 days after his interview we might start a summer planning for a wedding in Algeria or make plans for me to move there.

It's unfortunate what happened to you guys. I've never heard having 3X and your required to have a co-sponsor. CR-1 visa is going to take the same time.

Hey guys good news,

I visited my Fiancee for the past month while waiting for the NVC. I have a family member check my postal mail everyday but there was no luck. I was hoping that the NVC would send postal mail but I was totally wrong. The funny thing was that they sent my NVC letter by "EMAIL" instead of postal mail [SO PEOPLE DO CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR NVC  AS WELL]. I received the NVC letter 4 days after my departure ---> wish I would of knew :( would of save me a month. I can't log-in my email due to being in a different country.

Departure to visiting: Nov. 24, 2018

NVC sent email copy on: Nov. 28, 2018 with instruction Dec. 06, 2018 (All email and no postal mail)

Dec. 24, 2018: Saw the email of NVC as well as the step process.

Beginning Jan. 2019: Started the NVC process...

On the bright side, the payment for the interview was done and I am in the process of scheduling her appointment as well as getting the medical examination done. .I am hoping for a FEBRUARY Interview. My process is well over a year. It is well worth it!

Christmas Day my fiance took the printed copy of the email to a courier. DEC 26 AP was updated.  On 27 Dec out attorney was contacted via the email he sent.  It stated that they have sent our case back to the CO and are currently short staffed and will notify the beneficiary upon a decision. It has been during the holidays so I understand. Will the government shutdown affect visas?

No the government shutdown is not impacting visas presently. If and when they do it will be out a few months but then the shutdown could be resolved by then. No one knows.

Just wait as this may take 14-30 days if not more for the CO to revisit your case. Check in with the embassy after 30 days if you haven't heard anything.
