I don't usually comment about something I am confused about, but your post here today is confusing to me. You called, and I am just supposing, that you got the answer you initially called for on the first call. So, if that was the case why did you call back 2 more times only to get similar response? I'm confused. Am I missing something?

This was more of an experiment and attempt to verify information. I was actually surprised when I was told of the approved petition the first time by the first representative. I ended up getting a different answer from the second representative ("case is still pending with no decision").

The third person I spoke to was a Tier 2 person that relayed the same info that the first representative gave me, which I was then satisfied with.

I was just a bit surprised that the first, Spanish-speaking representative was able to get to the approval info, and the second representative could not. In both those cases, they were NOT Tier 2 representatives.

Now you know even though you knew before that you can't work till you get your EAD. Since you know, then I guess you know. But do you know why the CR-1 "is more powerful?" Because I don't know but you say the CR-1 team says so but I have never heard of a CR1 team.  Can you explain please?

Making fun of someone who have to turn down a job offer is not cool, @Greenbaum but i apprecuate your first response

I called my congressman's office last Friday to let them know that we were coming up on 7 months since NOA1 and had a wedding scheduled for December 1.  After their immigration person got back to the office yesterday, they were going to contact USCIS.  I didn't have much hope because the person at the congressman's office said that it would take 30 business days to hear back from USCIS.  And I remember telling them, "That's long." 😄

I woke up this morning to 2 emails.  One, from the congressman, said they had sent the inquiry to USCIS.  The other was from USCIS saying there was an update on our case!  I went on the new website and saw this.  It looks like NOA2 is coming! :)  I didn't get a text from USCIS, so I guess this is a silent NOA2.

Congratulations on ur approval.

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

I’m referring to @Deehotstepper‘s comment. With regards to security background checks, that’s both petitioner and beneficiary. Am i right? I have lived to 3 different countries for 5 years. So I am guessing that’s one of the reasons why we are having some delays on our part.
