They stated they needed the date and location handwritten on each photo sent.

That's a strange request. Even though they ask for the photos to have date and location I have never seen a RFE for such a thing. Mmmmm you just learn something new each day. God is good.

Okay. We have old website update for RFE mailed on September 22!!

However. He just received mail back from USCIS in a Manila envelope with BOTH our birth certificates. No other letter. Has this happened? I’ll post in the big forum later if need be. I’m a little concerned. Yes, we were idiots and sent originals. Is this why? Because I thought they destroyed (according to the form) them instead of going to the effort of mailing them back.

@Snuffles I think you’re fine.  That was nice of them to send your originals back to you 🙏

Maybe @Greenbaum knows more about that particular situation...?

Either way, don’t stress 🤗🤗🤗

You are getting closer to the finish line! ❤️

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

So there is actually no rfe inside the packet? Just birth certificate?

No RFE. But I’ve seen RFE envs be white. This was yellow. 🤷‍♀️ anyway- he did say he’ll call Monday and see what they say. I watched him open it. Two pieces of paper aka each of our birth certs.
