Finally back on track.... We got hit with two somewhat  difficult stuff in the RfE... But after all most 3 months we manage to reply they receive it last Wednesday so praying praying for no2 soon haha

I hope you were able to get everyone thing for your RFE sent back before the expiration date quoted in the RFE. Stay positive you seem to be on the down hill rather then the uphill at this point.

yea that is the thing there is no target date for the approval after they receive our response but I think @VickeySis said she had an approval in 5 days after they received her response to the RFE she can correct me if I am wrong..... I believe we are close and I am going to see my MAN! ( had to toss that in there) lol

thanks!

Most people who have responded to an RFE can, however, expect further action by USCIS within about 60 days. We are experiencing 5-10 business days for the turn around.  If you don't receive a response or update within 94 days since USCIS originally sent you the RFE, it's a good idea to call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

yeah, I don’t understand why! 😡When we called before filing the inquiry they said they worked on our case as recent as July...then we got this email. None of us has any records, previous marriages, children.. nothing. We met in person the first time on vacation and we are flying to see each other every 5-6 weeks... I’ve just finished my masters and I’m working for GE😩😅.. seriously what else do they want????! Sorry they are on my last nerve

I have a couple of things that you can try, of course you may have these already so just ignore but others might be able to avail themselves with this information.

Check your case status online with your receipt number. You can also sign up to receive automatic case status updates by email.

If you do not receive a decision on your case within the published processing time for the new service center, you may submit an inquiry online or call the USCIS Contact Center at 800-375-5283. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability: TTY 800-767-1833. When asking about your case status, please provide us with your receipt number and specify that your case was transferred to a new location.

If we send you any notice (such as a Request for Evidence), please read the notice carefully and follow the instructions provided.

If you move while your case is pending, you must inform USCIS of your address change. You may file a change of address on our website or by calling the USCIS Contact Center. It is important that you notify us of any address change as soon as possible, so that you continue to receive notifications from USCIS.

Sorry for the long post but wanted to share what happened today....

Called USCIS 1st time tier one immediately transferred me to tier 2, left full name and was told 125minute wait time. Received call from tier 2 @5:10pm CST and was told “yes I see they took action on your case, you will receive notice in the mail 1-2 weeks” refused to tell me what action, and that they could not tell me whether approved or not....I hung up the phone with a feeling of something wasn’t right...I immediately called back and told tier 1 that I was just speaking to tier 2 about my case and that she was getting ready to tell me status of my case when it disconnected...white lie yes I know, tier 1 Ashley said; “oh on the 23rd they APPROVED your case you will receive notice in a few days!”

I am still in complete shock at the same time it’s crazy how if it wasn’t for my gut telling me to call back I would have waited until Monday.... to my dear friends waiting.....KEEP CALLING everyone knows the answers to our questions so DON’T give up and don’t settle for the first time!!!!!!!!!

Hello, @VickeySis first of all congrats on your fast approvel.

Just wanted to know what number you called to?

And what question you asked.

I have never called USCIS. And yesturday i mailed my RFE response.

That’ll save you time when you just sent her the scanned copy. Nevertheless, great  to hear you are backed on track just like us who are waiting. Day 10 here since they received our response.

What really happened was i sent her a scanned copy but her immigration attorney told her that they needed a wet signature from me on the letter so i had to send it via dhl. I told her that my fellow posters who got rfe scanned the letter and send it but she wasn't taking any risk.

@LuFlolady countdown is on YaY

No news (surprise?!)

But I just did a scan on the case tracker and I was amazed to see about 40-odd updates (approved, rfes etc). Beginning of the week there was only 12.

I’m keeping the faith our time is coming! Plus fiancé just booked his ticket today so he gets here in 50 days!!!!!
