update for today:

01/25/2018 – NOA1 new website

08/24/2018 – submitted online inquiry, one day out of normal processing times, received request ID number, "expect reply by Sept. 15th"

08/27/2018 – called USCIS and spoke to Tier 2, "still not very far out of processing time", "wait until Sept. 15th, when inquiry is complete"

08/27/2018 – submitted online request to USCIS Ombudsman online – received e-mail acknowledgement "will contact me if able to help"

08/28/2018 – contacted my US senator using Greenbaum's links – filled out online form – printed form and mailed it to address provided

08/29/2018 – contacted my US representative using Greenbaum's links – was simple online form, which was submitted online, no receipt

09/04/2018 – called USCIS and spoke to Tier 1, "everything looks fine", "no negative decision or impact", "please wait for result of inquiry..."

09/04/2018 – received response from Ombudsman, "case is not yet outside of normal processing times". I will appeal this with explanation

09/07/2018 – received response to USCIS online inquiry:

On 08/24/2018, you contacted USCIS for an update on your case which you believe to be outside normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.
According to our records, your I-129F petition is currently with an officer and under review. You will receive notification by mail when a decision has been made or if this office needs additional information from you.
Nevertheless, in order to ensure your concern receives due consideration, the officer in possession of the case has been advised of the inquiry

Is this the standard response? Has anyone else received the same text?

Doesn't seem to be particularly helpful, but I guess I wasn't expecting anything else.

open possibilities:

-keep calling
-appeal response from Ombudsman

-schedule infopass meeting with immigration officer

Hope you all have a really great weekend. You'll continue in our prayers and we wish everyone speedy approvals! :-)

I have not received notification that they received it yet i just sent mine out on the 4th i tracked it and they received it on yesterday so I am hoping to get an update that they received it sometime today...and I am hoping for approval before we know it as well... I hope it is a quick turn around....However I am a little bit at ease now that i have sent it and booked my flight.... I think i am more excited about the flight than receiving my approval....lol

My RFE response was delivered yesterday around 11:00am and the old website updated at some point last night to say they received it on September 6th. New website still hasn't updated to say received. I am also hoping for a quick turn around--for all of us RFE folk.

The old site I am referring to is this: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I think it is what you are referring to as the case tracker. I think we're talking about the same thing.

So i rang this morning, as i do every morning but today I was greeted with news that we were approved yesterday at Day 229. :D

No update via text or email also no update to the old or new site but NOA2 is in the mail. I had opened an inquiry for outside of standard processing times on 8/20 and got a generic reply on 8/30 but this was the first proper update i have gotten..... and it was the approval!!

To anyone still waiting keep the faith as hopefully all January filers will be approved very soon. Also does anyone have the link for the Sept NVC thread and i hope to see you there very very soon.

Any update on the old or new site? I've yet to see the work "approved".

Seems like this is very random now. Some people have to call, others get it on the new site and others on the old site.

Is this the standard response? Has anyone else received the same text?

Doesn't seem to be particularly helpful, but I guess I wasn't expecting anything else.

open possibilities:

-keep calling
-appeal response from Ombudsman

-schedule infopass meeting with immigration officer

Hope you all have a really great weekend. You'll continue in our prayers and we wish everyone speedy approvals! 🙂

Duane & Haney

No that ain’t a standard answer. That response is based according to what they see in your own case. Seems that the officer is still waiting for your background check or your paper is just sitting and waiting to be picked. Usually, upon submitting online request, if they are about to make a verdict, they will give you an expected date for their reply(either an approval or an rfe).

Hopefully, your senator or the Ombudsman can give you a much definite answer regarding your case. Rooting for your approval @Duane & Haney sooner than later.

NOLA 1- Jan. 5

Received RFE 7/30 ( passport photo too dark and skipped question on IMB)
Returned RFE 08/03

USCIS received 08/08

Called 08/30 still under review .....

Praying we all get relevant updates, information, and approvals!

Oh wow!! That’s a long wait of approval for an RFE..😢😢😢 Still no update on both websites?

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ NEW SITE

https://www.house.gov/representatives US Congressmen

https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm US Senators

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

It is longer than we anticipated. I hope it's not just sitting in a stack while they work on other cases! Old website still says application received and new website says RFE response was received. I'm going to call again this week.
