I have been unable to find anywhere on the form that asks you to describe how you met initially to establish the relationship, nor have I ever seen anyone post that question.  I would love to see it if anyone finds it, cause I'm starting to wonder if I'm crazy...

I believe you're right. The instructions nor the form as you to describe in detail how the couple met and started dating. People who do send that do it because they believe it will help. But it's not required. Most get approved without it. But I guess it's ultimately up to the adjudicator.

@Lucy&Jason, what was your RFE about tho? You said it was just asking if your fiance was previously married and to just tick that box. Why are you sending in a letter explaining how you guys met? Did they also ask for that?

I'm starting to worry, should @radharose and I have sent in a letter describing with detail how we met our fiancé(e)s?

I’m clearly no expert, but I think you said it in the first paragraph- depends on the adjudicator. We did 2-3 paragraphs that included how, when and where and then the progress of the relationship to when we got engaged. But basically to the point. You might be fine without it! It’s easy to second-guess yourself. I know I do it.

Both. The second page of the RFE letter has a space on the bottom that says "Petitioners Signature" at the bottom. I signed there. Then also, I signed the bottom of the page where my error was, and I put the date.

In our original rfe letter there’s no written “Petitioner’s Signature” there, but at the very bottom of it i told my fiancé to sign just to make sure and to authenticate the original letter being received by him.

Honestly, going to be a waiting game again for us.. but closer now this time..😊

They ask if you have met in person within the two years prior to filing:

     52.     Have you and your fiancé(e) met in person during the two years immediately before filing this petition?

Yes           No           N/A, beneficiary is my spouse

If you answered "Yes" to Item Number 53., describe the circumstances of your in-person meeting in Item Number 54. Attach evidence to demonstrate that you were in each other's physical presence during the required two year period.

I have been unable to find anywhere on the form that asks you to describe how you met initially to establish the relationship, nor have I ever seen anyone post that question.  I would love to see it if anyone finds it, cause I'm starting to wonder if I'm crazy...

The question 52, yes, it pertains how you met, known each other, when, where? It’s a 2 way Question actually so it depends how you will going to formulate your description with regards to your meeting to being engaged. The question 53 and 54 will be supported by the pictures that you include in the packet. So a timeline could be very helpful to the adjudicator.

Yes it was only an omitted box left unanswered. That letter explaining the meeting ain’t about me. It was LuFloLady’s.

So how many are still left in this thread without even an RFE?

Is it just you and me, @Snuffles?

I'll call the USCIS on Tuesday, have not yet actually spoken with a Tier 1, to at  least hear what they have to say. Maybe I can get some information that way, then I'll update my "action post".

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and for those of us in the USA, also a great holiday Monday! Hang in there, we'll all get there. 🙂

Maybe all of the forms are a bit different? There was a form included that asked about criminal record. It was not circled with red ink, but it was in there so I checked NO, and signed/ dated the bottom. In addition to that form, we had the red circled portion about my ethnicity. So, maybe I missed 2 questions on my I-129F?

I don't know, but yes, we are closer to NOA2 now! I really want Bryan here for US Thanksgiving. He has never seen snow before. :)

Yeah! You are right. Every adjudicator has a different way in issuing an RFE. Nevertheless, as long as only they will approve us...

Bryan’s first ever snowperience will going to be fun and exciting. Coz same as me, I’ve never seen a real one also. Only in the movies. So i know how he will feel on the first snowfall. That kind of Happiness... is just so PRICELESS...😊😊😊

Got mine yesterday around 6pm! The RFE is letter of intent and evidence that we met within 2 years which id kind of weird because we thought we gave enough pictures.. oh well we will do better this time.

I have a question regarding the RFE, do we need to send back the letter? I saw some posts that we need to sign something before sending it back?

I got the same RFE. I had my fiancé send me her scanned letter of intent, included More pictures of us together during my visit with dates, place and people in the pictures. I added bio data page with entry and exit stamps on my Nigerian passport and also bio data page of my American Passport as it was stamped in france in route to Nigeria. My flight tickets and lastly latter from the Army approving my leave to Nigeria. I read here that you have to sign the RFE letter but I didn’t see any instruction like that on the letter so I included a signed cover letter with the packet listing exactly what’s needed in the RFE and the corresponding documents included with the original RFE letter first.

Website has been updated to “evidence received” now waiting for an approval. I hope this helps.

I HATE being cold but I do love the idea of watching the snow fall while bundled up in our home watching a movie. He is in Peru now so when it is 60 degrees he says "OMG, its sooooo cold!" and I tel him, ummmmmm you need to prepare for Chicago or you will die, lol.

I’ve been trying to prepare my Brazilian fiancé for cold New England weather too. Unfortunately with the delay of our NOA2 he should be arriving right in the middle of it 😂
