Am I reading correct - After NOA2, NVC & Consulate receiving the documents, then comes the interview and then Visa? And the medical etc are all after he is in the country and we do AOS?

I am starting to get excited again. :)

I did the same thing.  It is definitely a loaded question and with very little space provided to try and fit a decent response.

We are almost finished with our RFE.  I think we found all we need to prove that POF is NOT an IMB 😂

It will be mailed after the long weekend.

We also met on a dating site. We even forgot to include the TOS but we included screenshots of our first meeting conversations...

We went back to do the same thing and, after 2 years of not signing in, our messages were gone 😔

We are just submitting the TOS with a letter explaining why it is not an IMB, by definition according to the IMBRA.  It should be fine.

I emailed the site as well to see if our messages can be recovered, or if someone could at least respond with a statement proclaiming it is not an IMB.

Will they get back to me anytime soon?  I’m not holding my breath....

On page 8 of the form they ask to describe the circumstances of meeting in person. It's brief, but it's there.

As to a a detailed explanation of the couples relationship, I don't think they ask for that in the packet. A lot of people get approved without that.

Yes, I saw that, and I wrote a short statement about the visits we've made to see each other in the past two years and I included copies of passport stamps and photos of us together.  The question is very specifically about having met in person within the past two years; it never asks about how we met initially, so I didn't write anything about how we met and began dating.

ETA: LuFloLady said their RFE was for information about how they met initially to establish their relationship, so I'm speculating my RFE could be for the same.  Who knows?

The medical is done before his interview at the embassy in his country, so before K1 Approval and before entering the U.S.  I don't remember exactly but I think there will be another medical during AOS.  I believe your medical for K1 is valid for a year, so if AOS takes longer than that then you have to have another medical done in the U.S. before AOS approval.

Hopefully they will get back to you as soon as possible. 🤞 If they weren’t able to, atleast you sustain the needed requirement of the USCIS which is the TOS. Goodluck to us friend.

Our RFE may be for the same because I didn't write anything about how we met initially either.  It never even occurred to me because they don't ask about it on the form or in the instructions and I filled it out before finding VJ.  It's so stupid that they send RFEs for things that they never asked for.

I also forgot to check the box asking if the beneficiary has ever been to the U.S. before, so I expect it could be either or both of these things.

They do ask about meeting on the application....and I filled it out bcuz I pulled out my copy of what I sent them and its on there not sure why they say I didn't put it on there but never the less I Wil resend it on Tuesday

We included an extra paper explaining how we met and label it as “I-129F Supplement: Part 2 Question 53-54” in our packet. I must say that is one of the trickiest questions in the form. But I’m glad your RFE only needs that information.

Moving ahead my friend... Almost there at the peak of our approval...🤞

I put how we met on it not sure why they say they didn't get it maybe it wasn't detailed enough....Maybe I should add a timeline I'm not sure what else I should add...but nevertheless I will write something and overnight it in Tuesday...and yes we are getting close

They ask if you have met in person within the two years prior to filing:

     52.     Have you and your fiancé(e) met in person during the two years immediately before filing this petition?

Yes           No           N/A, beneficiary is my spouse

If you answered "Yes" to Item Number 53., describe the circumstances of your in-person meeting in Item Number 54. Attach evidence to demonstrate that you were in each other's physical presence during the required two year period.

I have been unable to find anywhere on the form that asks you to describe how you met initially to establish the relationship, nor have I ever seen anyone post that question.  I would love to see it if anyone finds it, cause I'm starting to wonder if I'm crazy...

I wrote a two page letter about our first meeting.  We also met online,  I only mentioned “online”, wasn’t specific with site, but we were approved, no issues

Both. The second page of the RFE letter has a space on the bottom that says "Petitioners Signature" at the bottom. I signed there. Then also, I signed the bottom of the page where my error was, and I put the date.
