You do have the same RFE as @VickeySis. Just submit again evidences of meeting prior to your filing. Passport pages, itinerary, boarding passes, hotel receipts, ticket receipt, photos together, chat logs, phone calls and you’re good to go. Only give what they asked for..

Thanks @Lucy&Jason . I'm working on this now. Hopefully it will be enough. I don't have every boarding pass from every flight leg, unfortunately, but have itineraries from both trips I made. Even though the first trip was where I met my fiance but wasn't the reason I went to America. I do have conversations from that time and one photo, because we only established a friendship haha. But second trip WAS to see fiance and met his family etc, so will include a few photos with family members. I'll photocopy passport pages to show each entry into America. And we'll get a couple affadavits from his family and pastor from the church where we originally met etc.

Follow the instructions completely. Sign the RFE then return when ready. Put together a nice neat and concise evidence of your meeting and time spent together. You want every piece of evidence of your meeting. Put a separate note with passport photos and explanation. Write name and receipt number on the back of the pictures. Make copies of everything and return original RFE letter signed. Send so you have a receipt showing the return and once received make a copy of that also. Good luck.

Thank you so much. This is helpful. I really appreciate this. I really, really do and don't want to take your generous help for granted. I know you get asked the same question a thousand times. I know not to add anything not asked for, but I also don't want to not include the passport photos and someone else down the line picks up they are missing and calls the file back. So I will have fiance include a separate note for that part. I don't think we'll be in a rush to express this back on Monday as much as I want to. I want us to take care putting this together LOL.

Hi Snuffles!

I have been following your story - I am a fellow Aussie beneficiary. We included just our flight itineraries because we didn't have our boarding passes, so if you don't have boarding passes for some, you can use the flight itineraries too  (and any passport stamps that you have when you were together).

Just my two cents but I would definitely include the passport photos and explain it. You missed it the first time, and they are already expecting you to send in photos and other things so it would be very easy for them to just add it to your file. There is just little downside and alot more upside to including it.

Sooooo.. we got the RFE hardcopy.

They don't want passport photos. They are requesting evidence of meeting 2 years prior to filing.

We did send that in. I wrote about 3 paragraphs outlining when and how we met (my first trip to America) and outlining a few things we did on my second trip to America. I included photos with corresponding tickets for example: we dressed up for Justice League movie so included Justice League movie tickets; he proposed at the Zoo so I included a couple photos plus the tickets. That kind of thing. I'm looking at the document I put together that included our intents to marry etc.

I DO have scans of boarding passes etc that maybe we didn't include? (I have a PDF of this document we did print and send but separate scans of extra stuff that I perhaps didn't actually print. I was trying to present our evidence in a nice and flowing order so it wasn't just random 'stuff' on pages. So it's possible there's stuff I have scans of that I didn't send the first time). So I can copy my passport pages, include boarding passes/itinerary from both trips, a few affadavits of support from his family, a few extra photos with family members.

So, I can kinda actually understand why they want more concrete evidence. I'm just confused why they didn't ask for the passport photos that  WEREN'T in the file. @Greenbaum I know you advise not to include extra bits in responding to an RFE, but should we still attach passport photos because we KNOW for certain they didn't get sent?

Glad u finally received the hard copy....

Agreed! I thought we would be at the end of the NVC waiting stage or scheduling our interview right about now. 😓

OK, I found some of your instructions >>here<< so that's cool and really helpful, because that's what i did.

So hopefully will avoid the tedious calling / waiting in the line and also receive a note whenever the cases arrives there.

Really good stuff, 🙏😊@Greenbaum, really appreciate your sharing, makes me happy and is really very useful! 🙂

I'll report back with confirmation how it worked, should be another 1-2 weeks. 👍

Duane & Haney

OK, so far so good and @Greenbaum as I promised I'm checking back...

Filled in the form on line with the explicit request (in text box at the bottom) to be updated with the status of the case by e-mail.

They replied about a week later in my inbox that there were no updates, but they would let me know when they received the packet from the USCIS and keep me updated.

So the idea in the quote above seems to be working, and that sure beats calling and calling...still need to get my case number and ID,though, so I'll keep you all posted. 🙏
