Question on this topic: My husband is in line for CR1 intwrview in consular processing. Bwfore we applied he got F1 visa denied because he could not show strong ties to his homeland as he had married a US citizen. His goal was to get educated and be with me, not necessarily stay permanently in the USA at that time. He thought he coyld get educated and then apply for permanent residency in the future if we so chose to do so. This sounds like he is going to get his CR1 denied because of the previous F1 denial. Is this a strong possibility and what can we do now?

Just a F1 denial and no complications will have no effect.

The F-1 denial would only have an impact as a part of the totality of circumstances being evaluated to determine if the marriage is bona fide or for immigration purposes only.  His F1 was denied because they considered he had immigrant intent.  Of course, you were already married then, and it makes it look suspiciously like he was trying to circumvent the immigrant visa process by coming in as a student.  Be prepared to overcome that assumption with plenty of evidence your relationship is bonafide.
