Socialist Venezuela Falling Apart As President Maduro Shockingly Blames Party

Interesting, with Trump in the WH, why would Maduro stop blaming the US for his country’s woes.

 

News flash! Socialism in poor, closed-door economies is a failure. So says Nicolas Maduro, who happens to be the president of one: the biggest failed state in the Americas, poor ol’ Venezuela.

In a surprising twist on Monday, Maduro went against the Socialists United (PSUV) playbook of blaming Washington (especially the CIA) for Venezuela’s troubles.

“The production models we’ve tried so far have failed, and the responsibility is ours—mine and yours,” Maduro told the PSUV party congress.

Venezuela’s economy is a disaster. The country faces a massive brain drain, with middle-class people leaving in droves to Madrid and Miami. Lower-income Venezuelans are trekking across borders into Colombia and Brazil.

Social democracy in a free market economy has worked for relatively small countries in Europe (measured by population), but even that is showing signs of being unsustainable.  The Democratic Socialists like Bernie and Ocasio-Cortez are promoting a very different kind of socialism which looks remarkably like repackaged communism.

Are you kidding me, their PETA supporters would never allow that.  Then of course we need to think about their global warming worshippers, I believe their end goal is the elimination of humans so the planet can live in peace and harmony.

Maduro blames this on expats, but more than likely it was self-inflicted so-to-speak to garner whatever form of victim sympathy he can garner.  Didn’t Chavez get stronger after a coup attempt?
