Administrative processing after cr1 approved

hello 

My interview is on 30th july 2017 Consular officer say you approved you will be get your passport within 14 days but on 2 aug my satus update to administaravite processing why its change if they did not give me 221g did its normal to change status AP after interview and approval

Mods, please consider the giant "AP is normal" pop up on this website. seeing how this question appears few times a week.

What was the status before changing to AP?

Same answer all cases get AP.  Not only 221g ones. 

 

It can take couple days or weeks or months.

It is normal. 

READY is the status which you will get before the interview. It means NVC has sent your documents to the Consulate 2 weeks before the interview.

After the interview, the status will be changed to AP, which mean officer consular begins reviewing your case.

If your case was approved and do not have to submit additional documents, the status will be changed to ISSUED.

Then the visa is printed and wil be sent to your address.

so AP is normal everyone got AP after approved
