Yes great idea. I've read that about 10 days after the NOA2 that you can start calling NVC. I will!!

I hope your case gets to NVC this week or next week 🤞🏽

I am only a day behind you. At Nebraska too. VJ estimates my case will be adjudicated somewhere between April 12th -17th. The wait is painful. :)

Congratulations!  I just returned from nine glorious days with my husband in Brazil, and we talked about when our NOA2 might arrive, we also filed in July, same service center, and seeing this approval also gives me hope that this first, and longest phase of the CR1 process may be soon over.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful news, and good luck with the NVC stage of the process!  And Feliz Novo Ano!  All the best to all July filers, keep sharing your good news!

Hey everyone again, glad to see some approvals 😊 things are coming along for all of us and that makes me happy. I got my nvc expedite approved today and they fowarded everything to our embassy so I've been happy crying all day. Can't wait for our kids to see their father again, finally.

Here's an example of a post from today.  The CR1 visa was denied at the interview because of insufficient evidence of an ongoing marital relationship.  Clearly this couple did not side-load at the NVC stage, perhaps not even enough evidence sent with the I-130 petition to USCIS, and the CO had made a decision to deny before the interview.  The beneficiary had a lot of additional evidence at the interview, but they did not look at it, they had already made the decision to deny and asked for the couple to submit evidence that they refused to look at and gave them a 221g.  This is one of many examples where side-loading would have likely prevented the denial.  Hopefully they can submit everything they have quickly and get the visa issued, but why risk this extra time?  Just submit more evidence with the I-130 or side-load it at the NVC stage and avoid extending the wait even longer than it already is.

Carmel,

I'm reading through the comments and I realize I haven't thanked you for providing the link. I apologize for the late reply. I really appreciate it. I too was with my husband for the holidays. It's terrible how quickly time flies when you're with the person you love. I've been slowly gathering up every possible piece of evidence I can think of as proof of a bonafide marriage so I can submit it at the NVC stage. That story at the Kingston consulate was heartbreaking.

This may be a little off topic now, but hopefully you or any other member can kindly help me with answer. I saw on a document cover sheet sample for NVC that IRS Tax transcripts, Federal Income Tax Returns AND W-2s need to be submitted. Are the W-2s necessary or is it optional considering the transcripts and the returns will be provided along with paystubs and possibly additional evidence of income such as a letter from an employer? Also, I have retained an attorney for the whole process. Does anyone know if the attorney handles the whole NVC process or is that something the petitioner takes care of? Honestly, now that I have more knowledge of how this process works, I feel more comfortable completing the process myself. I'm afraid my attorney won't side-load at NVC even if I request it or some other silly mistake will be done.

Adding on to my last post: I plan on adding my mother as a joint sponsor. She has never worked. Last year was her first year filing alone since my father passed away and this year will be her second year filing alone. Her sole income is from rent coming in from property my father left her. My question is: will this cause any problems during NVC. She meets the threshold on her own. Should a copy of my father’s will be provided as proof that the property was left to her? Also, we live in the same household. So we will be submitting the I-864 and I-864A to combine income for nvc purposes. Does proof need to be submitted to prove the she is a household member. If so, what can be submitted as proof? And how many years of its transcripts will be submitted for her? One year or the last three years? Hopefully my questions are clear. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I'm freaking out a bit here! I'm visiting my husband in Romania right now and had a feeling to ask my sister if she's checked my mail. She got back to me but because of time difference I was asleep! There is something there from Homeland Security! I'm super worried it's an RFE or something. It's 3am in the US so I won't hear anything for hours 😥😣🤞 We are at Texas service center and they received us July 9th
