I recently arrived in the usa (cr1, permanent resident). Back in September after I got approved right after my interview, they said at the consulate that everything would be electronic now since they’re going paperless. So no big brown envelope etc to bring to the port of entry/customs. I had a bad feeling about it. So after traveling for over 17hours I arrived here at customs and of course they had issues and couldn’t confirm stuff in their system. I was stressed as hell especially after they asked me at customs if I really didn’t get an envelope after my interview. So later they took me to a secondary room (people looked at me like I was a criminal or something) and I had to explain everything. After an hour of waiting in there, they finally solved everything and they said welcome to the United States. So just a warning for you guys, it’s not as smooth at the moment with this new paperless system. I hope everything goes well for you all

Finally got our I-824 approved our case was moved to the NVC finally. Long wait.

I am doing a Cr1 visa to get my husband to the United States.

My grandpa will be my joint sponsor.
I live with my grandpa and my grandma
I am a dependent on their taxes
On the taxes my grandpa and grandma file jointly.
I have adoption papers.

I am wondering if my grandpa will be my joint sponsor or if they both will be my joint sponsor?

Or would they be counted as household member? who contributes to the expenses?

I am stuck on that part.

I’ve been reading and it says that a joint sponsor must independently prove that they are financially responsible. A household member is someone who you live with and contributes to the overall house expenses.

If anyone could explain and let me know which one to fill out that would be great!

Do you think that because we're tried a K-1-K2 and got denied at the interview. "Not enough proof of a Valid relationship." And now USCIS is dragging A$$! Here's the proof WE GOT MARRIED!  Pd July 22nd 2019, and Nothing yet, 2 cases in Texas one in Potomac......all over processing times.

You keep requesting information and they are sending it to you....So, where is the response messages that they are sending you?  That should give you an answer as to what is needed.

Look at your date 3-20-20...They sent you a message by post mail and/or email.  you need to find the message that USCIS sent to you.  All you are doing is asking the same question.  USCIS is saying that they did send you a message.
