I have two questions...

FIRST: I have been living with my husband since May 2018 in his country and I was wondering - when we get to the NVC stage will I have to send a police report from here or is that just him.. I believe I read that if you are in a country for more than 6 months you have to but I'm not sure.. Does anyone know that process.

SECOND: My account on the USCIS is locked.. I forgot my password and it will not let me back into my account. Do you think I need to call USCIS to figure that out.

You should get a physical copy in about a week from when you received the email.

It can take up to 8-10 weeks to assign a case number.

My stepdaughter's I130 was approved May 9. The notice said to wait 30 days until calling. I called June 21 and the lady at NVC said they still hadn't received the I130 !!! Apparently now it's taking up to 10 weeks to receive and enter the cases.... and this is after a 9 month wait for the I130 to be approved. At this point I'm hoping we can get my stepdaughter hear by Christmas! 😱😱

My I 130 was approved Dec. 21 and it arrived at NVC Jan.22nd. It then took 10 weeks to be entered and receive case number but then moved very quickly and we had case complete in 3 weeks and just got Visa on Monday. Praying she's with you for Christmas!

I've been told it can take longer to arrive to the NVC based on what service center it's coming from. It took the NVC 19 days from my NOA2 to receive my files from USCIS (although I still haven't been entered into the system for a case number yet). They said estimates are sitting at up to 8 weeks for entry. Hopefully everything moves very quickly once your packet is received and a case number is assigned. It'd be wonderful to have the holiday with family!

Best of luck.

Thanks for this information. Just out of curiosity, how did you know it arrived (not entered, just arrived) at NVC? When I called, they basically said "we don't have it, call back in a few weeks". The USCIS online status page just says "Your case was approved". The letter in the mail did say it was going to be sent to NVC but it's been radio silence since then.

You have to call to find out the exact date they received it. They won't give you any confirmation unless u call. Hope that helps! :)
