I have called NVC at various times, it often takes multiple tries to get through to a real person, but with patience I have usually been successful, lots of waiting on hold.  If you want to get through you eventually will.

By the way, this morning we received "Documentarily Qualified" at NVC!!  All documents were accepted after only two weeks of uploading everything on April 14, no problems, but we were very careful to follow all the instructions.  I also just uploaded three missing pages from my tax transcript only two days ago so we feel lucky that we got through NVC so quickly.  Now we are waiting for my husband's interview in Rio to be scheduled....  it's a very exciting feeling to be so close to the end of this crazy process that we started when the I-130 was filed last year on July 20.  There's a very good chance that my husband's interview will be scheduled less than a year after filing his petition.  Hang in there everyone!  The end will come eventually.

A huge congratulations to both of you! Love getting emails from visajourney stating your timeline has been updated! lol

and thank you so much for the advice. I actually just got off the phone with them now. No case number yet. NVC received on 04/23/19. Hopefully it doesn't take the full 8 weeks to assign the case #. I'm hoping to have your luck and get that number around the month mark. :) Thanks and congrats again!!

Thanks and hang in there...  NVC seems to be working hard these days, to assign case numbers (ours took one month), and to review and approve documents (in our case this happened after just over two weeks).  So NVC is improving its processing times for CR-1/IR-1.  Make sure you read all the NVC advice about how to scan and upload documents correctly, to avoid delays later in the process.  If there are problems it typically takes another three weeks for them to review after the documents are corrected.  Good luck!

I can only hope and pray a case number gets assigned soon. Patience is definitely not one of my virtues. lol

Thank you. I'll be sure to take my time uploading. I've been stressing after reading the April NVC Filers group and seeing couples having to wait more than three weeks due to small errors.

YAY CASE COMPLETE!!!! My NVC process has taken a bit longer for no apparent reasons, they received my case on 1/22/19. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to notify you of an interview date? (Not how long for actual interview) Just wondering if we'll find out soon the date or it could be a week before the interview...

Congrats!!! I think NVC will start to schedule June interviews next week. It depends on how busy your embassy is

Congrats!! NVC's website says that the interview will scheduled after case complete, but does not state a number of days or weeks to do this...  NVC website also says that interviews are scheduled at least one month out, maybe more if the embassy in your country is backed up.  You can check your specific country forum to see others' experiences with this.  For Brazil, the interview is typically set for about two months later.  We received case complete yesterday, so we are hoping for an interview to be set in the next two weeks, mid-May, most likely for mid-July in Rio.  So we are planning on doing the medical and biometrics while we are in Brazil together for a visit in June.  Good luck!

Did anybody use a cover letter to send their info to NVC electronically? I was reading on Wikipedia that a cover letter should be use! But this could be old info, because it also gives info on mailing the forms for IV and AOS. Everything electronic so I’m not sure what to do. Please see images below.
