Yay! Happy Birthday, what a great gift! My birthday was last week and I got a notice from NVC which I thought was a case complete but instead ot said that 3 of our documents were uploaded in the landscape orientation instead of portrait...so we resubmitted and still waiting!

we had the same thing. its a bug in there system. the nvc in my opinion is the most annoying part. I feel like they don't even read the documents half the time

It's ridiculous. Now it's been 2.5 weeks since we submitted but because of that document issue last week the clock starts over....

we are still waiting for 'case complete' from the nvc since march 25th. I guess they are also running behind.

Oh no! This is such a bummer to hear!!! So all of your re-submissions and everything in by 3/25? Are you doing all electronic processing?

Thank you so much, it sure was relieving.

Oh wow, I hope you get the good news soon. Pls, what do they mean by the landscape and portrait orientation cos I intend to start working on putting things together? Also, where I can I get info as to what documents are required. Thanks again.

Documents should be from top to bottom not sideways.

I'm not good with posting links but I know I've seen them...basically birth certificates, marriage cert, any divorce decrees, tax transcripts, I-864, police certificate, passports, passport size photo from immigrant and any translations

Are all these documents requried from my spouse or me? Excluding the tax  transcript and passport photo

The NVC stage .. the DS 260 and the accompanying documents are all about the beneficiary.. the one trying to immigrate to the US .. The Affidavit of Support .. I864 and supporting documents is completed by the petitioner .. the one who filed the I130... As the petitioner is now the sponsor for the beneficiary.

Clear as mud ? 🤪

@chiblosom

this link is to a great guide to the NVC process.  It’s worth spending lots of time getting familiar with its contents.
