My case went " Ready" then a few days later it split into 2 case numbers.

My case status from my K1 visa that is at the embassy split into 2 case numbers? same case number with a 01 at the end of one the 02 at the end of the other? See the screenshot I attached, just wondering if anyone knows why that would have happened. Not too worried about it, both case numbers show the same status when I click on them. Just seemed weird to me. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

Exactly. It's a case number for an eligible dependent (whether or not they apply for a visa is another issue, but it's reserved for their use).

Oh, ok, that's weird as my fiancee has no dependants. At least none that I know of yet. It's a little late in the game to be thinking about dependants, as I have no idea where a dependant would come from.ive already sent packet 3 before this happened, and I didn't pay any extra fees. Only paid one Visa fee, and I think with a dependant you have a separate fee for each person.

Maybe it's because she has a child, well, he is an adult now, so couldn't apply anyway I don't think. Maybe they saw she has a kid, but he's over 18, but maybe it's added automatically when a person is listed on the I129
