Hi everyone, long time since the last time I checked VJ, but this waiting is really annoying.

I just realized my combo card will be expired by October and the Brooklyn office processing times are over 20 months. So we are talking about much more months ahead. does anyone knows how it works if your card expire before you get the interview? (I know I'm a lil early in this talk, I was just wondering)

and there are more vj's from Brooklyn here? Are we all in this boat?

thanks and good luck to us! 💆

You can renew EAD and AP at 180 days before the combo card expires (I think); it's still free. Your NOA1 from EAD renewal qualifies as an extension, but that doesn't work for AP.

Me and my 2 K2’s AOS Timeline: APPROVED

Date Filed: August 27, 2018
NOA1 Date: August 30, 2018
Biometrics Appt: October 5, 2018
Employment Authorization Approved: February 7, 2019

P.S. CIS OFFICE is in San Antonio, Texas. The USCIS website updated our case to “New Card is Being Produced” exactly an hour after our interview. No additional paperworks were being asked during the interview with the Immigration Officer. The interview lasted for an hour and questions were only about my husband and my personal information.

Good luck to those who are still waiting for their interview appointment! 😊

Hey! I'm at a loss..

We filed for AOS on July 10, it's been stuck on "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" since August 22.

We filed for EAD separately (cause we are stupid) on October 09. It's been stuck on "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" since October 15.

I sent an e-request over a month ago asking about an update, because it's been over 6 months for both the AOS and the EAD. It said expect a response by april 26. Still no response.

I called the hotline and all it says is to send an e-request..

What else can I do? :( It's been so long, I haven't worked in over a year and I'm falling apart.

It's been a while since I posted as it's been a waiting game for us here with our field office being in Philadelphia. However, I just got this notification that popped up in my phone just now. Have to wait for the letter to come in the mail to find out the official date. Was actually not expecting this until after July but hoping it's next month. I'm due to have our child July 27th and would hate to have to reschedule the date.

267 days since we filed and interview scheduled for my husband's GC:

We had my wife’s interview this AM in Hawaii.

Her appt time was 9:45am. We arrived early and checked in. Went to waiting  room full of people.

The officer called us around 10:05am and then said he would take my wife 1st and come back for me. I sat in waiting room probably for 15 minutes or so when my wife came out and I went back.

Took the oath and he asked me probably 5-8 questions total. At the end he informed me of the conditional green card process and to not let it expire after 2 years. He then smiled and said he did not see a problem with our application congratulated us.

Now the wait to see when the website changes.....

Anyone from Florida?

We called the uscis number May 9 2019, since we are way overdue on travel and work. Both of us had to confirm who we were on phone. She told us that no one picked up the case after we did the e request :( all she could do was out in another request. Couldn't give us an date it would be approved. Waited 30 minutes on phone at 10 am.
