I think it depends on the office that is processing it. My MSC number is less than Daphney's but it is being processed in San Francisco, which currently is processing Family AOS applications as of Apr 2017... So, at the current rate, I think my app won't be processed until Aug 2020... When I was submitting for K-1, it did take the time stated by the USCIS Case Status page...

My PD is 2/20/2018 and the receipt date is 8/24/2018. I am seeing many people here already got their interview scheduled or even got the green card... i thought they only process up to dec 2017 or something so i am confused.

Mine is 8/24/2018 and I haven’t gotten my interview either not even the your case is ready for an interview update 🤷🏻‍♀️ All we can do is wait 😕

Hi everyone,

Quick update as we went for green card interview yesterday in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Arrived at 9.50am for appointment time of 10.15am, then waited and didn't get seen until almost 11.10am which was probably the most stressful part as we had both only booked a half day off work.

When we eventually got taken through, the lady interviewing us was really nice, asked us a couple of questions about how we met, and then had my wife ever been to the UK to visit me (I had visited USA something like 24 times during the relationship.) Asked for photos I gave her about 15 that I had printed of the wedding and honeymoon and a couple of things since which she kept in the file. Didn't get asked for anything financial, or leases or anything along those lines. She updated the record that I now had a job. Said it was a super straightforward case and that it would be approved and I would receive the 2 year Green Card in the post in the next few weeks and gave me the link to the information about removal of conditions at the end of that but said she cant see us having any problems since its clearly a bona fide marriage. Probably in there 20 mins maximum (which made up for the long wait!)

Got the SMS Text/email yesterday that out AOS interview has been scheduled. Now waiting for the letter to find out when. Other's from our field office say it's usually 30 days after so we will see.

It is good and it sucks too because we had a trip to the Philippines scheduled next week.My wife the AOS Recipient was going to stay for 2 months since we have her AP card and I was going to stay for 1month. Now we wait until we get the letter to cancel/re-book the trip.

Reading on the forums about the headaches of re-scheduling , we would much rather have the green card in hand now and take the hit on all the fees for rebooking our trip..

In the green card appointment letter it says to bring :

- a completed medical examination ...

- a completed affidavit of support (income tax returns/w2 etc) ....

My medical exam is still valid and I gave the sealed envelope to customs when I entered the country.

I submitted an affidavit of support when I filled AOS

Do we have to submit these things AGAIN? Or how does that work :D? Would be happy about any help! Thanks

I had a new medical done since i thought mine expired already last February but then when i got to my interview the officer didn't ask for it. I figured since i paid for it and it cost so much i would just voluntarily give it even though she wasn't asking for it. I actually just didn't want to stare at a $520 document in my big plastic envelope that's why i submitted it. But anyways, the lady officer appreciated what i did and she explained to me that technically my medical is still valid since i submitted it within a year of my AOS interview (it's only been 8 months since we submitted our file).

As for the Affidavit of Support, I didn't bring a new one since the one we submitted in the beginning is still valid. I did bring my husband's current w2, tax return, pay stubs, and letter of employment. The lady officer didn't ask for any but it's still better to have it with you just in case they ask.

Hi everyone, i know this has been asked before but just to confirm.

For the interview we don't need to do a new affidavit of support right? Can i just bring a copy of the one we submitted while applying? (we applied in august).

I do not know the exact answer to this question.

We had our interview in February and I brought a new affidavit, but the interviewer did not take it since she said that nothing significant had changed in our case since we filed in August.

However, we are now past the tax filing deadline, so technically your most recent tax return should be reflective of 2018, not 2017 like you submitted in August.

My advice would be to complete a new affidavit and take it with you because you would hate to have the officer ask for it and you not have it which leads to a delay in the process.

At a minimum, you should at least bring proof that you filed your 2018 taxes.
