Hello everyone,

My NOA receipt date for i-485 c9 EAD i-765 and Travel Authorization Document are all on August 20th 2018. It's been 179 days today and I'm wondering what's going on. I called a week ago to inquire about my case. Was that a good idea ? Will it slow everything down ?

My I-485 status was updated on  November 7th 2018 Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview.

However, I'm really looking forward to getting my EAD so I can start working, it's getting really long. Does anyone have any input ? I'm a bit nervous that it's taking so long. My citizenship is French if that has any impact at all.

Finally status changed to Card Produced today!

Still nervous until I receive anything in the post but so happy!!!

Actually called up USCIS to log an expedite request yesterday as I have a job offer, but thankfully not going to have to go through that process now - phew!

Received date     30th August 2018
NOA1                    6th September 2018

Hi @MaximeCC

Calling them to inquire shouldn't make a difference don't worry.

If your receipt and NOA date are August 20th then it is outside current processing timelines (this is showing as 30th August) - have you raised an online 'outside processing time' query here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt - that might be worth a try??

Good Luck, I hope you hear soon!

Hi @ds36 !

Thanks for the reply, when I mentioned I called a week to inquire about my case, I meant I called to create a outside of processing time inquiry. I did just that but through the phone because you never know if it might be better over the phone or online. They told me they would contact me by phone or by email within 15 to 30 days. Hopefully it works, I'm just a bit worried because it's been so long.

Thanks again !

Hi everyone,

My husband had his interview last week on 2/12/19 and the person that interviewed us said that he will recommend approval to his supervisor and if they needed anything else they would send us a letter. When I look on the website it still says my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Does anyone know how long it takes to update the website? or if there will be any updates after the interview?

Thanks

Hi guys,

I want to ask a question:

Can I apply for foreign visas using my combo card? or AP is only for traveling back to the home country?

Thank you!

The combo card can only be used as employment authorization document (work permit) and advanced parole (traveling back to the US), which is not guaranteed though. Only US citizens are guaranteed entry.

You are still an alien to the US. If you want to apply for foreign visas, you need to apply as your home country citizen.
