Congrats all ! our bio was 9-5-2018 noa aug 9 for travel and employment. I see some have been my date and after. you think we should call uscis or wait still?

Unfortunately still wait. The inquiry date for EAD is July 28th right now (I'm assuming your case is processed at the National Benefits Center). So once that date changes to August 9th, you can file an inquiry. Hope you get everything soon! (September filer here, seeing that the processing times are going up more and more again 😕)

Hi guys

Im actually a October aos filers but no one had their interview yet.. i saw that some of you here had their interview and received some cards? I have a question and i hope you could give me an idea what it means Thank you in advance

 

So here is my concern..we file our k1 and k2 aos October 19 and had my interview friday January 11..few hours ago my husband received a notice from uscis that say they close our ead/ap because of other benefit means and they said they will reviewed my I-485 and send me their decision in the mail but my daughter I-485 status says that New card is produce..im so confuse..our interview went well and the IO gave us a copy of a recommendation for approval and even said to wait 4 to 6 weeks for actual green card.

Once your GC is approved they will discontinue processing your combo card. It means you arent getting a combo card but if you wait a bit you'll get your GC instead.

Its just about the new update to my status....my ead/ap is the same with my daughter but my i 485 is different my daughter i 485 say new card is produce but mine says case must review,just wondering if anyone here experience this before they received their greencard..im no hurry with greencard im just confuse and want an idea from people who experience this for me to know that whats going on is normal..and what more weird is that my status change during the weekend night lol

The status updates on the USCIS websites are irregular and inaccurate though. Your K2s status is a good sign. All you can do is wait it out.

Yep, it wasn't the welcome letter but the approval notice. I read that those are two different letters. However, not everyone is getting both. Some are just getting the welcome letter, some only the approval noticce.....

Hello VJ, I was wondering if we have to update the SSN card from not authorized to work to allowed to work, after EAD combo has been issued?

You SSN card should say something like "Allow to work with DHS authorization "... so you should show to your future empoyer both the SSN card and the EAD card

After you receive the GC (ie is when your immigration status has changed) you will update the SSN to remove the statement.
