Anyone have any insight on approved AP but still no EAD

What's your situation?

Did you not file AP and EAD at the same time?

Do you have your AP card on hand or are you going by the notoriously incorrect USCIS status updates that says your AP was approved but your EAD has not?

What's your situation?

I filed them at the same time. But the USCIS status update only has my AP approved. My EAD is still stuck at fingerprint review complete. My AP status only changed yesterday and it said they'll mail my approval notice. Haven't received anything yet.

Ah I see. Well as I stated, you cant go by the status updates. They are completely unreliable. You should receive your NOA2s in the mail soon. More than likely you will get a combo card. Even more likely than that, you are worried for nothing.

I hope so! It wouldn't make sense to have a separate AP and EAD since I filed them together for a combo card anyway, but with the USCIS I guess you never know! Just hoping for good news after such a wait.

My interview went well, too! I even got a greencard stamp in my passport which is valid for 30 days so that I can start working until the green card is coming in the mail. However, my case updated right after the interview or even during the interview to 'Interview was completed and my Case must be reviewed' which is confusing to me.....:D

That's weird! I had my interview Tuesday, got a stamp that's valid until the end of May. Right after that, my status went to 'new card is being produced' and 'case approved', but I'm sure it'll be fine!

I didn’t get a stamp but I got my employment authorization already. I’m not too worried about it. there is really no reason why they would deny me lol

Does anyone know if the advance parole is still valid after the interview?
I'm asking because I want to plan a trip in June and it looks like I will receive the EAD AP card soon. (maybe in a month hopefully)

With my luck my interview might fall right before my trip and I have heard that it is not always possible to receive the i-551 stamp.

😅
