It’s not a bother but I can’t answer that correctly cause I didn’t do k2. I’m sure someone who knows better would answer.

Thank you

Hey I’m trying to search for answers but I actually got confused with the posts too. I suggest making a post yourself because that will be easier to get correct answer and probably quicker.

Hi guys,

So I did my bio yesterday and today my I-485 and I-765 were updated to 'Fingerprint Review was completed'. But I didn't receive a Bio notice for I-131. I am just curious if fingerprint is not required for I-131?

The status won't change for the I-131 as when the EAD is approved that will be approved simultaneously. The fingerprinting or biometrics is for the background check to approve your EAD/AP and GC when the interview is scheduled by your field office

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Yes it is normal. It means that USCIS is done reviewing your AOS portion of your filing and you have met the requirements for your case to be ready to be scheduled for an interview. Your I-485 will be sent to your local field office now and you will have to wait for them to send you your interview letter.

Ok anyone else filed early August and their status still says fingerprint review was completed??

I'm now on day 77 since received and 41 days since bio.

I understand I'm still within the 'normal time frame but so frustrating when people filed after me have had their status changed.

Filed 8/9, received date is 8/10. Biometrics was 9/6 and case status updated on 9/7.

I understand your frustrated and definitely sympathize with you but I would recommend not to compare your case timeline with others. One thing the K1 process taught us is that USCIS doesn't approve or complete a case review in order.

Try to be patient as October starts the new fiscal year for USCIS. Diversity visas are reviewed in the beginning of the fiscal year so it is possible that things have slowed up some. Not justifying it or saying this 100% the reason, just shedding some light at the end of tunnel.

Are you talking about the status for the I-485?  If so, my wife' status changed to "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview"

The status for the I-765 (EAD) is " Fingerprint Revies is Completed"

Yeah the i-485... It's so frustrating and I'm in North Carolina it's meant to be one of the fastest states 🤔

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding name change. When I got married to my husband, I didn't change my last name. But now I do want to change my last name to his . Since we got married in NYC, I know we only need to remarry for the purpose of changing my last name and have an updated marriage certificate with my new name on it.

Since I have already filed all the documents, I am wondering if I can request a name change at the interview by showing the updated marriage certificate, or should I send USCIS the updated marriage certificate to request a name change?

Thank you!!
