Hello

Can any one say if uscis process checks and credit/debit card payments faster than money orders?

My package was received and signed for last Tues (Aug 28) I haven't received a text or email I did send the g1145 form.

Thanks for your response I'm getting nervous 🙈

May I ask when did USCIS receive the package? I sent mine on August 23rd, they received on 27th, and the check hasn't been cashed yet. I understand that it might take up to 30 days, just curious when they received your AOS package.

Thank you so much!

Mine was the almost  the same as yours... Sent on 8/24/18 and rec'd by Chicago Lockbox on 8/27/18

Biometrics done today....took longer to drive there than the whole appointment. We were in and out in 10 minutes!!!!

This part of the process will be the quickest part of it all!!!!

Now....we continue the waiting game!

@jtona I checked my money order yesterday still wasn't cashed. I see people who send their package after me getting text and email.

It's not wise to compare your case with the status of others. Just keep an eye on your payment. It solely depends on how each case is received and scanned into the their system before the payment is cashed.

@Trinab80

I know I shouldn't but I never thought this process would be this nerve wracking. I've been going over my forms and documents since june my husband stuck it to the post office without telling me he got tired of me obsessing over it.

But thanks for bringing me back to reality I just need to be patient.

And I understand how you feel but you have to keep in mind that you're not the only person who sent their package to the this lockbox in Chicago. Weekends don't count and Monday was a holiday. It can take 7-10 business days for them cash your check. So there's no need to be stressing yourself at this time. It's only been 6 business days  according to you saying they signed for it last Tuesday. If you're filing the AOS then you should know already that you have to be patient when dealing with USCIS.

In the meantime,  :time: on here so that we can see your timeline and are better to assist with any future questions.

The wait for NYC is a year so patience and more patience is the needed.

And Philly is about the same as NYC. They don't do interviews at the Dover, DE field office anymore which sucks because then we would have a shorter wait. The whole name of this game is patience and waiting. The K1 process has definitely made me an expert at that now!
