Ok, other than corrupt money hungry gouging hospitals, it is cheaper to get them done before the exam. I went with my fiancee to the Thai red Cross in Bangkok and actually when I saw how cheap the vaccinations we're, I got her everyone they offered, and I even picked up a few myself. She goes back later this month for the last of the 3 shot series vaccinations. But getting her everything was just about 100 USD. I grabbed 40 bucks worth of vaccinations I'll probably never use but the price is right. Look around the DR forums or maybe someone will come by here and give you a few ideas. I say look for a red Cross type clinic.

Corrupt money gouging hospitals?  Wow, that's disrespectful.  Actually, I checked with Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu, a top notch hospital in the Philippines.  Kind of like the Mayo Clinic of the Philippines.  They told me that all vaccinations required would be covered for free at St. Luke's in Manila when my wife has her physical.  Sure I could have been ripped off by some dishonest doctor/hospital but I was not.  You are assuming that ALL countries are the same.  You could not be more wrong.  As I noted our experience was regarding the Philippines.  But you are the one that brags about having six figures in liquid assets, right?  I better start getting everything for free, or at reduced cost from the Red Cross and maybe I can be rich like you...hahahaha  Just kidding.🤣

The problem is that she doesn't have her shot records and said it might be difficult to get them from a hospital/clinic in the DR since many of their systems are antiquated. She doesn't  know which vaccinations she has had. I checked a website for the embassy medical clinic DR and the vaccines are over $800. Incredible.

My wife, from the Philippines had no record of her immunizations.  There was a list of like 20 I found on-line.  I panicked.  But as it turned out she only ended up needing like three and they were done at her medical exam at St Lukes in the Philippines.  The Philippines included whatever shots you needed at no extra charge.

I believe you were the one that said the local hospital was going to take you for a ride with 15 vaccines to make a bunch of money off you. Now the hospital is fine and dandy and rates up with the Mayo Clinic, so which way was it. Money Gouging or Mayo Clinic? Maybe I misread your post. But you said they are all about the money. I have no problems with hospitals, I visit Bangkok Christian Hospital all the time. Where else can you get a full blood panel with same day results for under 40 bucks. Not in the USA that's for sure. Matter of fact I'll be back there in November for some blood work.

And why wouldn't you grab a bunch of vaccines if they are dirt cheap, never know when you might need that yellow fever, dengue fever, etc. Now that I have my vaccination book complete I don't have to worry about traveling to many countries. I believe there are only like 26 vaccines available total.

Great information, i m from santo domingo province, i have heard about places that do it for free.... Do you know any?

I'm sorry for the late response. I've been quite busy lately but If you mean, the vaccines, likely yes or super cheap. I am from the Espaillat province and I know places where I could take some of them really cheap. But it was to late for me to go and take some of them so I ended up not taking them at the medical exam. We'll just do another exam and vaccines in the US.
