And i would like to ask them how long they average our priority will be come current.

Can i contact the NVC with these information and ask those questions ?

and to be exact my priority date is 25, JULY 2007.

You, as an applicant, can call them to ask questions and update the address, however, you won’t get any answer on when your PD will be current. They will simply say look into the visa bulletin.

You can call or email them to ask them to update your address and email address.

NVC can help you in several things like What, How, Why... but they cannot answer some questions like:

- When will my PD become current?

- What is the average wating time of my case or this preference?

- When will you finish review my case?

- When will I get the interview letter? (if your PD is not current)

In summary, they cannot answer a question about time such as When, How long.

Because no one can predict something in the future, and they have no rights to tell you their prediction.

If they tell you something like "you may get the interview next year", and it won't happen, they will be sued and fired so no one can help you in question like that (even they know something).

That's why sometimes you get an answer in general like "see the visa bulletin on website" and that's all.

Hey I don't know too much about the visa processing time but I can make a fair estimate. That your i130 is approved already. So which mean in this case base on the visa bulliten your visa will be current on next 11 years. Depending on the visa availability

Wait. Your PD is March 2006 but until June 2018, USCIS approved your case and send it to NVC?

Can you clarify this? So I can estimate the time.

yes USCIS approved our case on 1 jan 2008 and sent us the approval letter mentioning our priority date March 2006 and now when we inquired now they said our documents are with NVC this is our situation

Okay.

PD: March 2006

Approval date: Jan 2008

These dates are very important for CSPA. You should not lose the approval letter.

USCIS said it right. They sent your documents to NVC for processing your case.

From now on, you should contact NVC only.

You should ask NVC via this inquiry form: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Fill in all the field: USCIS receipt number, Petitioner name, Applicant name and birthdate, Your email address.

Check the box "Please update my NVC file with this email address" so they can update your email address into their database.

From now on, they will communicate with you via your email, so you will not miss any letters from them.

Type the question in the comment box:

- What is the status of my case?

- Please provide invoice ID

After 2-6 weeks, NVC will reply and let you know about your status as well as your Case number.

They may provide invoice ID, which is a password to access your case online.

If they refuse to provide invoice ID, you can wait for a Welcome Letter, which will be sent when your case is ready for processing.

You should check the visa bulletin every month, looking into table B - DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS.

When your PD is current in this table, which mean your case is ready for processing, and NVC will send you a Welcome Letter via email.

They will guide you 6 steps including paying fees, submitting DS-260, submitting civil documents and financial documents....

After you complete all the steps, you will be in the waiting list for interview.

When your PD is current in table A of visa bulletin, you will get an interview letter.
