CEAC listed my case as "Ready" on Friday, July 27th, and I send packet 3 (without them contacting me) on Monday the 30th. I just got an email back saying

"According to our records, your case might still be at the National Visa Center (NVC) or in mail transit to Montreal." Has this happened to others? Should I just wait a few days and try sending packet 3 again? I don't see why CEAC would say "Ready" if MTL hasn't received the case yet...

  • 03/20/2019 USCIS online case status for I-485 changed to "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview" 
  • 06/10/2019 EAD/AP expedite request submitted with evidence through Congressman's office
  • 06/17/2019 New Card is Being Produced! (EAD)
  • 11/15/2019 Interview! Approved 4 hours later
  • 11/23/2019 Received Green Card in the mail
  • 8/19/2021 Sent Removal of Conditions form
  • 8/24/2021 Application received, NOA1
  • 10/25/2021 Received biometrics waiver (dated 10/21/21)
  • 11/22/2021 Received 24-month extension letter
  • 11/7/2022 Filed N-400 Online
  • 4/6/2023 Naturalization Interview
  • 5/12/2023 Oath Ceremony

If it's ready it's in Montreal.  That doesn't mean Montreal has opened it or looked at it or but it anywhere but the inbox/mailroom.  :(

I got a message asking me not to send documents until they ask, so at least they know I exist lol. Also, CEAC says my case was "updated" on August 2nd and 3rd. Perhaps I'll hear from them next week :)

They do that.  They've been really annoyed about people sending P3 before they ask for it.

I figured it was worth one try sending the docs early but now am happy to keep waiting my turn!
