Kath,

What do you mean 'requesting an extension of the visa time'?

Are you trying to request a Visa with a longer validity?

Approval of what? The I-129F? If so it's automatically extended at the embassy..

Hi Kath. :) From looking at your timeline it seems asthough you're waiting for your interview appointment notice. If you require an extension, perhaps wait until that arrives (and the Sydney Consulate is quite speedy with those) and then you can contact them and request a later date. When you do that, they'll be able to tell you how to go about extending the validity of your NOA2 (as I presume that's what you're referring to). I would think that the petitioner would receive notification, but once it's at the Consulate stage, all of the communication appears to go to the beneficiary. Good luck. :)
