Below is your latest I-751 approval estimate! Keep in mind that this will vary slightly as your immigration case progresses -- this is normal!

Your I-751 Approval Estimate
December 20, 2019

**Received this e-mail yesterday from visa journey with an estimate of when we will be approved. Hopefully it will be this year !  That would make a great Christmas present !

Also on the USCIS website it stated this

March 29, 2019

Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of March 29, 2019, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number ######, at our location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

How many of you are going to file for citizenship prior to your I-751 being completed ? My husband and I have decided we will. He is eligible in September and will file the N-400 prior to this being approved. We want to be through with this whole process once and for all !

I will most likely file for citizenship this July. Just like you said MoroccanEscape, we also just want to be through with this process.

Well you won't get approved in December if you apply for N-400. Applying for citizenship will trigger a combo adjudication that means your N-400 and I-751 will go to the back of the line for citizenship. And we know Dallas, TX takes forever.

Apply for citizenship if you are comfortable with waiting that long and  getting stamps on your passport every 3-6 months to prove residency while you wait.

I am only basing my post on a friend of my husband's who did the same thing we plan on doing and he got his 10 year green card within the normal timeframe and then shortly thereafter (within a couple of months) he received the notification they had accepted his N-400. Actually, we know 3 others who have done this and it didn't change anything. Perhaps things in the approval process have changed since then, I'm not sure. Their approvals were early last year.  Are the N-400's only done in Texas ?  Our current application is in California.

Its worth the shot. Yes N-400 applications are processed and approved at your local office (Dallas, TX).

If you know people it has worked for i would say go for it.
