The updates both say "we are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time" except in the email also says "we last took action on November 2, 2018". My status still shows Fingerprint fee received.

Curious if anyone got anything similar and an update?

Hi guys!  I got my biometrics appointment letters for me and my children today!!  All of them with different times and dates though.  Long story short, last week when we went to Laredo TX to get the i-551 stamps for my kids' passports, I mentioned to them that we haven't gotten the biometrics appointments yet, so she offered to help by "forcing" the system to make them.  So that's why I think we are the only ones with bio appointment letter so far.  Good luck to everyone!

When did you file?

I got a second email saying they were still reviewing it after I went to get the stamps on my children' passports. My packet was delivered to the California center on August 20th, got my NOA Oct 22nd and Bio appointments Nov 30th.  Appointments are for mid December

Hi, so is anyone's receipt number working yet on the USCIS case status page (not just the DHS page)? Or received any updates beyond getting the I-797? I know most of us now have 18 months before we have to panic all over again, and I should be patient, but I want to keep as up to date as possible. Call me pessimistic, but I really believe in a years time I'm still going to be waiting on a biometrics appointment confirmation...

I applied nearly 2 years ahead of you. I can tell you for a fact that the timeline are increasing. It can get worrisome and frustrating. 

Here are some advice for you.

  1. Keep updating your evidence as you wait.  You will need it at one point or another. Whether it is for RFE or interview, they will want what you didn't file in those 2 year wait. 
  2. Do not trust the Case tracker site or the DHS site if you use one exclusively. Sometimes one gets updated but not the other. Keep an eye on both.
  3. Get email and text updates. It helps. ALOT!
  4. Check your case in the middle and the beginning of the month. Make sure to log in at least once every 2 weeks. 
  5. If you move, submit an online AR-11 asap. 
  6. Try not to change things a lot and minimize travel while your case is pending. 
  7. Call the USCIS phone once a month and see if they have more updates. They will probably be wrong though or just the same as the website.
  8. DO NOT FREAK OUT. No matter what happens. If nothing happened, then you are still in the pipeline.  If something happens, then you are at least moving.
  9. if you are considering applying for naturalization, apply for N-400 online as soon as you are eligible. Don't wait. It helps when both are lumped together. 
  10. Finally, relax. You are still in status and they will not do anything unless you did something utterly stupid!

Hello all, 

My lawyer send the package for a 751 with a waiver on August and they received it August 27th, they cahswd the check in October 2nd and I received the NOA Oct 22nd, my case is in Texas because the receipt number starts with SCR, I have the 18 months extension that allows me to travel. I have a 2 weeks trip vacation that starts Jan 5th to the 20th. 

 

My concern is that I have not received the biometrics yet, I am afraid to receive the biometrics appointment while I am abroad. 

 

 

I guess I would be ok, looks like everyone is behind with the biometrics. 

 

Let me know your opinion please!
