Hi all, thought I'd add my voice to this. I filed my I-751 back on August 17th to the California service center (as was required before the change on Sept 10th), the package was received and signed for according to Fedex, then nothing. I called customer service hotline after 30 days and was given a referral ID to track my inquiry. They told me an officer had been assigned to my case, but had not reported back yet. I called again 15 days later as instructed and they said I should be patient and wait another 30 days. Considering it's a 90 day window I felt that doing nothing was stupid. So I made an infopass appointment. In the meantime my check was cashed in Phoenix on October 2nd, so at least I had confirmation it was received and something was happening, but obviously it had been transferred back to the Phoenix lockbox (?) from the California service center.

At my infopass the officer told me everyone's I-751 was delayed, and I was being a lot more proactive than I needed to be, which was good. He accessed the california system, told me it had been received, even gave me a receipt number (starting WAC, California service center) and said my I-797 NOA had been issued on October 8th, and to expect it in the mail any day. I was very relieved, until of course I got home and found the receipt number didn't work in the online case status website, and so far nothing has arrived in the mail (as of October 17th). I called the helpline again, told them my story and they said they couldn't help me, only to call back again in 30 days. So it looks like I'm in a similar boat to everyone else, I'm just hoping to receive the notice before I'm supposed to be going home for Christmas. My green card expires November 2nd. I've had to cancel one previous Christmas trip because of mistakes and delays made by USCIS in my green card, I'm just hoping not to have to cancel another one.

TLDR: Sent off on august 17th, check cashed october 2nd, infopass appointment gave me a receipt number that doesn't work online yet.

see that is the thing, ppl gotta go places licenses and it just doesnt help that these ppl take such a long time。making everyone to wait for their official green card is one thing,we can understand that, but at least send out our noa on time so we dont have to worry about it for a month and more

Didn't get the stamp - he told me in order to give me the stamp I'd have to surrender my green card, which doesn't expire for another couple of weeks anyway. But when it does expire I'll make another appointment and probably get the stamp so I can renew my drivers licence at least.

To the appointment I brought evidence my original application was delivered by fedex, as well as a copy of the email I was sent following my conversation with an agent on the USCIS helpline, which detailed the enquiry and reference ID they gave me. I feel like that's probably all I needed, or even just my A number and proof I sent something, to be honest. I also brought an entire copy of my I-751 application, but he didn't even look at it.

There are definitely two systems, one which we and the helpline can see and use, and one that infopass officers can see. It sounds like he's very frustrated that the system is behind, and there's nothing we can do about it. He also told me they will eventually getting rid of infopass appointments (no timeline though), as it's deemed a "convenience" for immigrants, not essential (!).

I've read some post. it really depends with the officer. Some got their Expired Gc and Noa letter back along with the stamps. Some didn't.

I wanted to let everyone know my wife has a citizenship interview tomorrow.  We were able to file early under the (ina 319b) so the citizenship process has been going on since April but in the mean time her removal of conditions application needed to be submitted.  They received it August 22nd and the check was cashed October 1st but we haven't received any notice much like everyone else here.  Since we filed my wife's i-751 her green card has expired so she has to stay in the USA while I'm employed abroad.  I'm not sure how the citizen part will go tomorrow but while she has the officers ear she'll try to get some of these questions answered.

Unfortunately I think that even if she passes the interview they can't move forward until her i751 is completed so hopefully we can at least come out of there tomorrow with a stamp in her passport and a good receipt number to check the status of her i751.

I called last week and they told me the same and to call back in a week. Looks like there is no point in calling this week based on what they told you 😕 We have similar timeline , received 9/4, check cashed on 9/27 and they have no receipt number -_-

I really worried. Did you call them get receipt notice number?
