That's great. I'll try doing that next week. Did they ask you to pay for the I-551 Stamp?

No, you don't need to pay them anything to get the I-551 stamp. Just bring your paperwork (copy of your application, etc.) in case they ask.

I called USCIS yesterday to ask if there is a way to find out "the notice that was mailed" had actually been printed and given to USPS. The Level 1 officer on the phone was not helpful and told me what I already know and I can check myself unfortunately - same as my status online.

That is around our time too. Did the officer say what to do next?

Nothing different than the status. NOA can take up to 30 days and if nothing is received by then, call again. I tried to get more info about the infopass appt and stamps, etc. I was told I can only go to my local field office, not sure if this is true. And for finding an appointment, usually to check late at night or early in the morning and hope someone cancelled. (i needed it sooner than 14 day period) And refuse to say anything about trying a walk-in (the officer told you can attempt to try), what time would be better, etc etc. Also, I always write down their ID number they tell you right after their name on the call - just in case.

If anyone needs and is in Denver, I am going to cancel my appointment on 24th in Denver office, early in the morning - let me know, we can coordinate.

My green card expires today.

I called the hotline (first time) to see what they have to say. They confirmed that they have delays in data entry but she can see that my NOA was sent out on September 29th. The 29th is Saturday so I have a hard time believing her!!!  She said that it can take up to 30 days to receive the NOA and I need to continue to wait. I asked her why my text message and email said that I will receive my NOA within 7-10 days. She said that it means it will be generated within 7 to 10 days and it can take up to another two weeks for the letter to be delivered. where on earth it takes 2 weeks for a regular letter to come within USA?!!

She said I can make info pass appointment to get the stamp. I would need my receipt notice, expired green card and photo id.

If one has the NOA (I-797), they don't need the infopass appointment for a passport stamp for a year or 18 months (depending upon extension period). They are not being helpful. My GC also expired, I have no DL because I still don't have my NOA. SMH.

Application Date- Aug 13

Check Cashed - Sept 24 (Nebraska Service Center)

Infopass Appointment- Yesterday, October 11

Then while I was at the infopass appointment, my husband called me saying that my NOA came in the mail, October 11 with 18 month extension! Now I have both the NOA and a stamp! 😆

so you're the first one to received your noa then!?

my husband just called uscis and gave him his receipt number。we input it online to track the case, funny thing is it said our case was submitted sept 21st,but we sent it to cali on the 17th and then received it on Aug 20th。our check was cashed the 24th of sept。。。why are their dates so messed up?

and it said to wait for the noa until Oct 21st before calling them again。。。
