Approved! Got a text message with a case update at 1am this morning, woke very quickly to check and saw 'New Card is being produced'. So happy!

Hi guys, after 40 days checked my money order today and it says it was cashed on 10/02.. 

 

Can somebody add me to the list? I don't know how to do it. Our file date should be 08/24.

Hey aAndg, I think I would have had the same thing happened, if it wasn't for a rejection notice(!) that came yesterday along with our entire application packet and the check. It's a long story which I'm not going to elaborate on until some other time in this forum, but, yeah, we missed a signature in our application. The notice said that we are invited to make the correction and re-file, which allayed our initial panic and fear. Our attorney calmed us down further and said we'll just need to send the same packet with a new cover letter explaining the reasoning behind the (now) late filing 😓 We're meeting with her early next week to re-review the packet before sending it again (probably on same day).

 

The silver lining in all of this, is that we now have a chance to be more deliberate in where to send the application, to have a better chance in getting it processed faster. It seems to me that sending it with USCIS from MI will now have it go to a lockbox hub in Lewisville, TX for further processing and routing, which may have a better chance of not ending up in CSC again (I hope?)

Νov 27, 2018: USCIS rep submitted new request for duplicate NOA letter

Oct 25,  2018: Got notified that check was cashed! 😄

Oct 19,  2018: Delivery in Texas lockbox confirmed

Oct 18,  2018: Re-mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

Oct   4,  2018: Packet returned with rejection NOA1 due to missing signature 😓

Aug 17, 2018: Delivery in CA Service Center confirmed

Aug 16, 2018: Mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

I meant sending it with USPS, not USCIS, lol.

That's a bummer. It is not your fault though, you submitted it on time. It's just that CSC has been having delays. I hope everything goes well, just make sure to keep your USPS receipt for proof that  you sent it before you GC expires.

In the rejection notice (which is also labeled as a NOA, albeit not a happy one!) there is a receipt number and the "received date" showing they got it within the filing window so, fortunately, proving the original receipt date shouldn't be a concern. As an aside, our attorney even told us of an extreme case of someone filing a year after the filing window ended, and they were still accepted (it must have been a very good late filing reason!).

I'll update the list again once I get my NOA in mail :)

They are lying. They told a lot of people that they have issued their NOA's  1 or 2 weeks ago and all of us we never received them. Its sad that they lie to us. I would not be surprised if our NOA's just WAITING to be sent..
