Yes, you get the extension automatically with the arrival of the NOA1 so that you have "evidence of continued status" as USCIS calls it, extending your status the original GC's expiration date. It's what you can show Homeland Security when you to get back into the States when you're traveling abroad. Here's the 18 month extension USCIS announcement.

Oct 25,  2018: Got notified that check was cashed! 😄

Oct 19,  2018: Delivery in Texas lockbox confirmed

Oct 18,  2018: Re-mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

Oct   4,  2018: Packet returned with rejection NOA1 due to missing signature 😓

Aug 17, 2018: Delivery in CA Service Center confirmed

Aug 16, 2018: Mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

where did you send to?

I think Csc is sending some cases to other service centers. Mine was delivered 9/24 to arizona and cashed today.

i sent the package via USPS. sent 8/15, delivered 8/17.

I should have researched more but didn't think this would be such a big deal. We got our green card first time after six months with no interview so I took it for granted I guess...

I did go to USCIS so they can stamp my passport because I need to travel too se my family, and I'm pregnant after awhile I cant travel however they denied because my application is not even on file ! I feel like I'm running around in circles. 

Any update on your NOA? Hope you are feeling well momm-to-be, try not to stress too much.

hey guys，remember how my husband and i called uscis after our 30 day mark for the case because we didnt have any updates from them？then the agent helped us sent an inquiry over to csc。well today we got their reply through email。Below is a part of the reply that was interesting。。。

 

On 09/21/2018, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, because you did not receive your receipt notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. 

Your receipt notice was mailed on 09/21/2018.  Please allow fourteen business days for delivery.

Due to various processes and pre-receipt checks involved with the Form I-751, our systems may be slightly delayed in updating your case information. 

 

how could they have mailed the receipt for us on the 21st when we found out that our check was processed on the 24th？？？kind of weird。and it now seems that the noa isnt delivered to us 7～10 days，but 14 business days！so everyone just gotta be patient。

Pretty sure when they say mailed they mean put in the process to be mailed, because the slowest method of mailing a piece a paper takes 3 days to cross the country.
