I added my information above (hope I did this right!). I do have a couple of questions about the I-797 NOA regarding employment (please let me know if I should be posting this in a different thread):

 

Do I need to proactively send the I-797 NOA to my HR department, showing them that my status has been extended for 18 months, or should I only provide this if asked? Will they ask? Do I need to reverify I-9?

@arturogfb You don't have to let HR know about your status. I am in the same situation and only provide extensions if they ask. E-verify normally does not trigger unless you are on H1B as this what my employer has told me. I have the extension and haven't provided them and they haven't asked for it. My attorney told me to only provide it if asked as according to him he has instances where his clients with good job standings once notified their employers of the extension letter made things difficult for them as some small companies suspect that the employee has lied about any need for future sponsorship. If your company is big and they are H1B sponsors then it shouldn't be an issue and they won't even ask if they are not then having no immigration attorney on their payroll will make things little difficult for you to explain the situation. I hope it helps, just one thing to remember if they ask show it to them no need to present it when they have not asked for it.

So I just saw that USCIS changed their mailing address as of a day or so ago. I wonder if they're keeping everything that came to USCIS CSC or if they're going to move it.

I would think they would keep all the packages they already received in Cali center, but it should release the backlog if they don't receive new applications.

Mine was submitted ( Received) on August 11, and ya they still haven't cashed anything from my account. I'm thinking next Monday I will try to call too.

Yeah it getting a little anxious. But there was a holiday and they are running around 4 weeks behind right now. Better to check if you check was cashed. There is no way for them to know if your application hasn't been entered yet.
