Approved! Got a text message with a case update at 1am this morning, woke very quickly to check and saw 'New Card is being produced'. So happy!

Ok, after my dilemma with the old form 🙄🙄🙄 I resend the application on 8/27 and got my NOA yesterday in the mail with the 18 months extension 👍

Btw, I did not submit a cover letter this time. So we shall see..

AOS from K-1

06/06/2016 - Married

06/12/2016 - AOS filed

06/13/2016 - received at Chicago Lockbox [day 0]

06/21/2016 - NOA1 date [day 8]

06/27/2016 - NOA1 hard copy in mail [day 14]

07/01/2016 - Biometrics letter received [day 18]

07/13/2016 - Biometrics appointment [day 30]

08/29/2016 - SR online [day 77] (assigned to officer, response to inquiry sent, and completed all on the same day) => no confirmation email received

09/02/2016 - EAD & AP approval notices in mail (both dated 08/29/2016) [day 81]

All 3 cases online still on 'Case Was Received'
09/29/2016 - 2nd SR online for card to be mailed [day 108]
10/21/2016 - SR (finally) assigned and completed [day 130]
10/24/2016 - new card is being produced [day 133]

10/28/2016 - Infopass appointment [day 137]

10/28/2016 - GC approved - new card is being produced [day 137]

How long until your checks got cashed? California service center received my package (via USPS) on Thursday Aug. 9 but they have not cashed my check yet... Wondering if I should be worried. 

Adjusting status from F-1 (student) following marriage to USC

Entered US for first time: December 2010

Met husband in class: August 2013

Started dating: February 2014

Engaged: 21 May 2015

Married (courthouse): 25 March 2016

Sent AOS packet to Chicago lockbox: 19 April 2016

NOA1 received: 24 April 2016

Biometrics appointment: 24 May 2016

Case ready to be scheduled for an interview: 2 June 2016

Infopass to request AP expedite: 30 June 2016 expedite approved

EAD/AP card in production: 1 July 2016

EAD/AP card received: 11 July 2016

Interview notice received: 17 September 2016

Interview date: 21 October 2016

APPROVED!

Green card received: 28 October 2016

Process took 192 days, no RFEs, from sending the packet to having green card in hand.

The irony of being jealous of CSC when filing I-130, (Though we had a quicker run than most through the Potomac Service Center) Now I am in CSC and I am jealous of Vermont. At least no spouses are apart for this.

Noa1 date 08/30 received it on 09/04 with 18 months.

 

We have a cruise in January and plan to go back and visit my country in Feb. Should I schedule an appointment to get it stamp?

Why? You have the NOA1? You can travel with that and you GC.

(Petitioner's statement)

 

should I write my name or my husband's name (green card holder)?

 

for part 8

Spouse's or individuals statements.

Is it for me to fill up?

 

My husband is the green card holder.

so is he the petitioner for filing?

 

we're filing jointly.

 

i'm kind of confused😕

Yes he is the petitioner and you are the spouse
