After receiving an RFE in September they finally approved my case. The card is mailed and should be here in the next few days.

This is it. I'm so happy I don't have to deal with them anymore...for now at least.

Good luck 🍀 to those who are still waiting (even though I feel like I'm the last one) 😜

Thank you!

Well, I sent them the wrong tax information which wasn't enough proof since it had no evidence it was received by the IRS. I didn't really bother with credit card statements either. We have the same credit cards so I thought sending a copy of just the cards should be enough. Also, I was pregnant at the time I sent the application and all I had was a letter from my doctor. To make a long story short.. I just didn't go above and beyond (like I did when I first started the process).

All in all, I was just tired of proving my relationship to strangers just to be able to live here. That's what got me the RFE. I was annoyed at that, but not too worried and took my sweet time to get the information they wanted.

In the letter they gave me a summary of what I handed in (which was good, because I didn't even make copies of the packet) and examples of what they needed to support those documents.

So...

1. We asked the IRS for transcripts

2. I requested 3 random credit card statements for the years we've been married

3. Sent a copy of a new life insurance policy

4. A copy of our child's birth certificate

5. Plane tickets from this summer's vacation, visiting my family

6. 2 pictures of our daughter's christening

They received my response on November 1st and approved the case on November 26th.

Hope this helps.

I sent my docs by the end of August 2018. I had to redo my fingerprinting in early June. And in the beginning of July my vase got transferred to Potomac. And since then no change or update... till TODAY!!!

Congrats to all who got their card already! And best wishes to those who are still waiting!

Thank You all!
