We did send the copies of both of our DL’s the first time. I just forgot to add that.

I see, I have seen some RFE's om other forum and they usually state what are you missing and what you should add, the last one I read said that previous documents already sent should not be sent again. thats why i was wonder what you could have missed in the beginning, i believe sometimes they just want more up to date stuff

Hopefully that’s the case.

Just received an RFE today via Potomac.

I'm a little unsure whether to send newer stuff, or older stuff... I could send some things from our original green card application but not sure?

Also, we can't send our driver's licenses because I don't have one, and my spouses has their parents home address listed still. We also live pretty independently and really haven't co-mingled much besides a bank account, apartment lease, utility bills and life insurance. Also one of us is way behind with tax filings so we can't send much tax-related stuff either.

We sent:

Gas and electric bill

Joint insurance (it was renters insurance but they replied saying joint auto insurance...)

Life insurance

Lease agreement on apartment

Joint bank statement from one month (maybe I need to send more months?)

Photographs

Credit card statement and text messages but they didn't list these as received.

Any thoughts on what the best evidence we could provide next is?  They sent a very long generic list of options. Sigh.

Waking up to the 'New Card is Being Produced' alert on my phone this morning! Thank god, no rfe or interviews. Feeling so relieved 😃 Best luck to everyone and thanks for all your help!

Hi! Could you share other examples of evidence you provided? We are dealing with an RFE and this would be so helpful for me. Thank you in advance!

They usually state in the letter what you guys are missing, in this country the main identification document is the driver's license and if you dont have one you need to get at least an ID in the DMV , your spouse MUST change his/her address in the driver's license  to match with yours otherwise i am sure they will call you for an interview.

You also need to sent joint tax transcripts It does not matter if one of you is behind, they will know it with your SSN anyway, if you cannot provide this, be prepared for an interview then.

Seems like you missing some critical things:

-No tax return is  big No.

-Bank statement: you need to send all bank statement from the date your spouse become PLR.

-Driver license with same address ?

- Any kind of membership like Costco, Sam Club?

- Health insurance for both of you?

- No join auto loan?

I called to uscis yesterday because my I-751 pending stamp in the passport expires on 28th this month. I filed in California and was transferred to Potomac June 11th. They said that since it is still within the normal processing times to wait another 3 months. If I don’t hear anything by then, I can make a request about my case.
